Alright where do i start, I wrote a review a few days ago , that i was so tired and dissatisfied with the lack of communication with my previous lawyer , Derek Chou , left and I was not informed and the outcome of my bill assessment decision sat in his inbox. I had a bill assessment evaluation. Although Derek was a junior back in 2020. He was trying his best but he was practicing more criminal law than civil. Plus, Derek did not have assigned an experienced law clerk to assist him with all the documentarion. Until Brittany Tessier joined this firm then my file started moving in a positive direction. She was the backbone for Derek and perhaps other lawyers. She prepared all the procedural documentations. During the first hearing after finally 4 years , Derek again was called to criminal court in Feb 2024 and my second part of my hearing was deferred to Nov 2024. He always made his criminal cases a priority pushing back on my file AND I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS DUE TO THE PRESSURE OF THE FIRM. To the point of my hearing he left after 2pm and never came back and my hearing got remanded. I complaint to Josh. Quote: " He responded saying that the liberty of others take precedence over you civil matter of the bill assessment filed since 2020, so Josh don't complain why it took 4 years ?". Then, he tells me that he was extremely upset from my previous review post that he decided to terminate me as a client. Well Derek is gone was gone since Jan 2025 and the decision sat in his inbox for a month that is until i contacted Brittany. When Brittany askes me to take over the my file , i was more than happy as she did most of the procedural work and submission on my file . So, instead of communicating with the clients and being proactive. I find out after 2 months Derek is gone and then i get and Auto message from Brittany in March 16, 2025 that Brittany is gone has also left the company. Brittany resigned since March as per her linkened in Then, after my shady previous lawyer defaulted in payment on my bill assessment , I paid 380 for a motion for enforcement on Feb 24 2025. I dont have a copy if it was even got filed. So, Josh instead of calling me to reassure me that my matter would still be moving forward. I get a nasty threating email from you that i will terminate you his firm with no representation, that is if i do not remove my post and apologize?. I did remove my post to make peace with him but then he sends me a second email confirming that he will be terminating his services with me because i cced the Court billing officer. Furthermore, Josh threats me will payment of funds, which are not even collected and more threats of liens and disbursement costs.

Josh , let me give you a piece of advice drop the "God" status and if clients are upset reach out to them and work to diffuse and de- escalate their concerns. Getting angry and threating clients at snap of a finger does not do any good to your reputation and your ability to manage a firm.
Anger and threats are not going to help grow your firm.
Furthermore, I made it clear to you that the code of contact from the law society under section 3 7 does not justify your decision to terminate me as a client Your judgement to terminate clients at a snap of your finger will prejudice the results over the outcome of a current action still open and running. .
I strongly recommend that if you want to manage your firm smoothly, a course in management to learn how to lead, set standards and communicate effectively with clients would add a lot of value.
I am sorry that your decision was termination of a client in the middle of an action.
I will be filing a complaint with the law society and seek other legal representation that i trust.

Absolutely horrible with regards to communication. My lawyer was Jeremie and would literally answer me less than 25% of the time. One time he didn't even bother showing up to a court hearing. My case was pretty straight forward and simple so it wasn't detrimental but was still incredibly frustrating to be ignored and feeling like I was navigating everything myself. Do not recommend.
