I am now homeless when my landlord clearly Show that they've done nothing but lie in line.Lie numerous times and owe me to a point where you didn't know you're here.Veronica.You knew that when they first served me.It was.I was late on a payment and then I didn't make a payment and then she could see all the other lies that they've made about me and she's still in the stick for me or do anything to fight for my rights I'm now homeless with 2 kids and I get there's no point in going to court next month because i'm already evicted. Well, if they give me the opportunity to show that you know what I can prove and have evidence at this point that she's lied and lied lie time after dying.Why wouldn't I want to fight for my rights?I wouldn't I want to sit there and fight for the fact that I have proved that they've lied time after time after time , even to say , I called veronica the day that I paid my rent and rear and I told her that my landlord offered me money to just walk away And that my landlord was trying to convince me to be late on a pain. And so you get to share if you get me out. And I told her this the day that he came and said that to me, but that never came into any consideration when this all came down to play right cause. I told her 2 months before it even happened. But that wasn't good enough evidence for them. These people are disgrace. It don't stick up for nobody. You need to pay somebody to be able to get your rights this place is Horrible, and I would never, ever suggest anybody to go there.I would never recommend anybody to go to this place

The lawyers and staff here are all amazing! They have helped me Landlord and Tenants Board issues and hearings. Plus they helped me fight for my ODSP case. The 4 times that I have needed them, they have always been willing to help.
Highly recommend them if you are in need of a great people to help you with your legal issues, these are your people!

Had an appointment with Rayann, she said she would help me and never heard from them again, no replies to phone calls nor emails. It's been 2 months and nothing. You would think if they had decided not to help you they would at least inform you, horrible for a public service.

Very disappointed in the legal aid clinic. They do not respond to your phone calls or emails. You have to run them down in order to get a response.

I was speaking w Veronica she is useless. Do not use her or ask for her for legal expertise as she has none. They are not professionals at the legal aid clinic more like amateurs and the people who work at the front desk are miserable and rude. It’s unbelievable how you guys are running this clinic. It clearly needs some oversight.

People are in crisis situations a lot of times when they need to use your services, and you guys think it’s funny to play w people in situations like this. Well you played w the wrong person. I look forward to your response. You guys are useless and should not be receiving any funding or support. You do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I had the LTB tell me to go to legal aid ,I did I had 4 lawyers from this office & one had my case for yrs did nothing ( not even show up in court or help with paperwork) the 2nd lawyer waited for the last second to do my paperwork & did it all wrong.

I understood why I couldn't get help.

My issue is when there is zero empathy for bad news and the immediate jump to "You should use your (insert therapy of choice) skills to deal with your distress". You don't know people personally, yet you are privileged with such sensitive personal information. That is a sacred amount of trust you have been given.

It doesn't matter if the intent was to encourage -- you, by virtue of your schooling and institution have access to personal details of my life that I do not have of yours. Do I know what therapy you attend? How long it has been? You wield institutionalized power in this situation. To drop my personal health information in the conversation the moment you deemed my negative reaction to bad news "too much" is weaponization, and is unacceptable treatment of anyone.

Folks, be aware this can happen to you. Really disappointing as there was all denial of this behaviour and no accountability. Even when I called it out as patronizing, the closest I got to an apology was "sorry [I] mistook it as patronizing". These are suppose to be folks who help those who are struggling?

Even though I probably have to start over, I feel like these are the last folks I would turn to for advice or help.

They almost never respond to anything imo this place is useless. They are supposed to help but they just leave you hanging when you need help the most

Contacted a housing lawyer to seek help with a landlord issue I had. She said she would help me and even gave a timeline on when she would help me and contact me with an update. Not only did she never reach out to my landlord regarding the matter like she said she would, but refused to reply to ANY of my emails or answer any of my calls. I sent her multiple emails asking for updates on my case and whether she’s taken any action and also sent email forwards from my landlord who was harassing me through their debt collections agency (as she had requested I forward them). But, it was all in vain. I was very badly ghosted and received no help whatsoever. Even the reception rarely picks up when you call them and the whole set up seems very unprofessional and badly managed. I don’t understand why you would ghost low income individuals who obviously come to you in need for help. My whole experience was absolutely unprofessional, unsatisfactory and the interactions sucked. I would not recommend at all. I feel so helpless now bc this was my last resort to get some proper advice and help regarding my old landlord taking me to their debt collections agency unfairly but since I wasn’t able to get either advice or help I just feel pressured to succumb to paying it.
