Just like many other reviews. Blair takes no accountability when his business falls short of it’s commitment. Could not even apply my correct address, so my remittance voucher never arrived. Discussed this last year. But he goes through so much staff, so the person filing this year copied and pasted the wrong address. He says CRA does not ask for an address. Really the remittance files shows my address, so CRA can mail it to the right location !!! Just an easy fix for a professional CPA, but not for Blair. Now I am to blame. Yup blame everyone else for his incompetence !!! Always happy when you pay him in CASH, and take out for lunch. Once challenged he runs and hides behind emails and text messages.

Watch out for Blair, he makes mistakes left and right, if not out of incompetence than even worse purposely so he can ‘fix it later’ and charge more billing hours. To top it off he pre charges monthly just to receive uploaded receipts without any work on his end! Shameful behaviour..

That isnt true Blair I told you guys to stop all work immediately! You only responded this way after as you fail to take accountability. Should i post our emails too?

Unfortunately I couldn’t recommend this person to anyone. All the promises Blair made up front turned out to be false. Make sure you get it in writing and you document everything, or like many others you’ll end up in court.

Virtus has been my parents accountant for years. Once I became their poa, I had to send in their taxes to Virtus every year. They were quite helpful if I had any questions and problems. They even saved my Dad hundreds when the government tried to take money from that wasn’t owed.

Their company also provide the QBO course to saving the money for who have small business. He is very professional CPA and nice person. I met with Blair yesterday and we spoke about establishing a relationship to monitor my Business Tax and Personal Tax expenses. He understands current tax breaks and how to apply them. He also advised me on the best way to plan my income and to SAVE ME MONEY ON TAXES.

Note: Blair is personable, friendly, and responsive to emails and phone calls. That's something I haven't had in an accountant for a while.
