John seems very professional up front and does a great job with engaging both parties which gave me a lot of confidence that mediation would help. So we paid our 1500 dollars and then sat and listened to John talk for 3 hours never addressing the whole reason we went to mediation......to develop a separation agreement! 0 progress towards an agreement and then were both given the mediation certificate needed to advance to court. Completely feel taken of advantage of due to our vulnerable situation.
Is this program to keep people out of court or just another way of taking vulnerable peoples money? This program definitely needs some better regulation.
Do your homework people before choosing your mediation......it should work to keep you out of court and nobody should be given a certificate without even discussing or working on a separation agreement.

John was anything but professional.

He collected his $1500 and then spent one hour and 45 minutes of a two and a half hour session (that he claimed was over 3 hours) talking about HIS divorce, his experience with big brothers and sisters, and then spent less than 30 minutes addressing our divorce. John was dismissive when he was asked repeatedly for follow-up, referred to my ex-wife by the wrong name, and then came up with an extensive list of excuses why he wouldn't schedule a second session until 3 1/2 months later.

Please, you deserve to work with a professional mediator who will take you and your situation seriously, not this man.

Edit: Despite the response left by John below, I spoke with him privately on multiple occasions and he dismissed my concerns repeatedly.

Please do not trust this man with your most precious relationships.

Highly recommend John and his team. Very professional and really care about helping families. I know many families who have used his services and will continue to go back for those tune ups we could all use every once and awhile.
