Updated Review: I appreciate the important legal work Ty Colgur completed on my behalf, particularly with some of the more complex estate matters. However, I found communication lacking during the process, which created confusion and stress at an already difficult time. While I later came to understand the value of his work, I was disappointed by the limited transparency and by not being informed of his retirement, especially with some matters left unfinished.

Please note: Ty Colgur is now retired and no longer practices at this office. I have not worked with Tarralin and cannot speak to her services. In so much, I have increased the rating and understand that they worked independently.

Overall, I’m grateful for the work Ty did, but clearer communication would have made the experience more positive.

I can't say enough how happy we are to have found Tarralin Hanson for our real estate transaction. I found her to be professional, accommodating and with exception attention to detail. She is cautious and throughout which I love and her fees are very reasonable. Highly recommend and will use her in the future without hesitation.

First time home buyer here so I had no experience when shopping for a lawyer/notary for my home purchase. I chose Tarralin Hanson because reviews were good and prices seemed fair. After completing everything I was hit with an extremely high bill I was not anticipating. I knew fees would vary and there’s no guarantee but my bill was more than $2600. Being ignorant on the subject I let it go until I saw a lawyer (moving from a different city) to sign the paperwork (had to pay more for this also). He was extremely surprised that a notary would charge this much when he himself would’ve charged less than half. I have learned my lesson on this and did not need to use a Cranbrook based lawyer/notary for my purchase in Cranbrook. I do not recommend this place due to this encounter and would have done business somewhere else had it not been a couple days before closing.

I've had lots of things notarized in life and the most I've ever paid is $20. This place charged $84 to notarize a photocopied passport picture. Took a couple minutes. Unbelievable.

Used Mr Colgur to notarize legal documents because we were happy with taralinn's previous dealings but he is a rip off.
Charged me 125.00 plus taxes to total 143.00.
I called other places as I need another document notarized and one place was 50.00 plus 7.50 for extra signatures and another place was 30.00
DO NOT USE HIM FOR LEGAL DOCUMENTS

Used her for a real estate deal 2 years ago. We are from Alberta and that complicated things way more then it should have. Tarralin made the process very straightforward.
