Gary Strangway is by far the most unorganized, unprofessional, scatterbrained lawyer I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. How he has a license to practice is beyond me!
He calls himself a Criminal Defense Lawyer- yet he knows NOTHING about defending his clients rights. He doesn't bother working with the crown for the good of his client. When there are items MISSING from disclosure, that the crown has he didn't bother obtaining VERY Important information for this case. Had he done so a family would not have been torn apart, destroyed financially, all over FALSE charges! A Lawyer that cared would have had the entire case thrown out by the 2nd appearance! NOT GARY!! He wouldn't be able to line his pockets with his clients money then do absolutely NOTHING but what the crown wants.
Is it not the LAWYERS responsibility to obtain disclosure? He asked his client in Dec at yet another pointless appearance if HE had a copy of the charges &disclosure as he had NO paperwork with him.😳🤦‍♀️ Gary then went to the crown got a copy of disclosure & told his client to go get coffee& read it over in less than an hour!!!
His appearance is a diagrace to Queen's Bench& the presiding judge!

Lawyer shows up for court 100% unprepared? This man is a danger to any and all that hire him.
Gary avoids ALL communication? He does not return calls, emails or texts then charges an outrageous amt for work He DID NOT DO!!
His appearance is a disgrace to the legal system. His whole purpose is GREED! He is an AMBULANCE CHASER- that cares not for other people's lives, and family! He just see's $$$$$ When that scared defendant walks in for their 1st court date.
STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS MAN! If you value your freedom, and your savings acct RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!
People like this deserve to be disbarred and facing obstruction of justice charges!!!!
Do not make eye contact& if he is duty council your better off asking for an adjournment yourself! Gary just makes everything worse as the judge clearly had NO respect for this "lawyer" and I can't blame him. Hire ANYONE BUT GARY or you will loose everything

They put in little effort to try to help a case, they fall asleep in trial, only seems to care about is his payments. You try to contact him and doesn't get back to you. Comes in to trial late and didn't come in one day at all and had the trial post-poned. Goodluck
