While there are some good reviews for other lawyers at this firm, I think each lawyer still reflects the firm as a whole. I’d stay clear of this firm. Poor communication plus lack of transparency, they overcharge on some things (I got charged ~$1200 for Xerox fees in one month), and I had two incidences where there was no communication from lawyer/paralegal (one for ~5 weeks and another for ~10 weeks).

My story. I moved with Reanna to this firm around Jan 2024. I don't know what happened, but Reanna is no longer with the firm since around Sept 2024 (no option to go with her this time) and I was passed to Emma. I had some early concerns from our very first video call (it was clear Emma did not review my case thoroughly before our first meeting - Emma did not know I lived and worked in Seattle). Some communication early on and then ~5 weeks without any communication. Fine, whatever. In Nov 2024, there was a decent amount of communication with Emma discussing my stance (basically trying to get scheduled parenting time for the summer and Christmas) and plans going forward. Early Dec 2024 Emma suggested I get a consent order for getting time with my son for the Christmas holidays (this cost a lot of money and looking back I don’t think this was necessary). I got information about the consent order from Emma on Dec 20, 2024. Since mid Nov 2024, I was also communicating with paralegal Maria about my availability for court dates (last email from Maria was Dec 17, 2024 for my availability in March 2025). Since Dec 20, 2024 for Emma and Dec 17, 2024 for Maria, I have not heard from either regarding my case or effort to schedule a court date. I did receive an email from Emma on Feb 28, 2025 to relay information from opposing counsel about something trivial (two emails that cost ~$183). That’s ~10 weeks of absolutely no effort done by the firm for my case (I did not receive any charges from Dec 20, 2024 to Feb 28, 2025 meaning the firm did not even send out a single email to opposing counsel in that time). That was the last draw. I sent a formal notice for termination of their services and I am now seeking another law firm.
