If Zero was a possible rating I would rate this for customer service. I went to my local Staples to purchase an item that I needed today and I know that my local Staples carries it. I searched the aisles found my required item and another item or two. Headed for the till as time was of the essence. Not an employee was to be found! There was someone already waiting at the till for an employee to check their purchase. They made the comment as there appears to be “no-one working today”. We waited a few minutes to see if any one would show up and no one did. I therefore went and knocked on the locked door that I have seen staff come out of on previous visit. And no one responded. As I returned to the que at the checkout the people in front of me left their items that they were going to purchase on the counter. Another customer came from the back of the store and said to me “ I guess “no one is working today” and he to dropped his purchases and left. As time was an issue for me I too left the items on the counter and walked out. Luckily for YOU that myself and these other customers are HONEST people as we could have shop lifted and there would have been no one there to stop it from happening.

This is the second time this has happened to me and I am pretty sure it has happened more than once to other people as well as people done go about writing reviews on “one offs” . I would rather support my local businesses and their employees that live and work in the same community that I live and work in as we generally tend to support each other. However with service like this I can support AMAZON and have it delivered to the door of my choice (work or home, etc).

If it is a matter of staffing, well, GET SOME, and pay them a living wage, not minimum wage, a living wage! If you care more about the Owner’s and Board Members getting their bonuses than you do your staff and customer service than you have a sinking ship for a business. If you have staff that can make a living wage (or a bit better) and enough staff in your business to create a great customer service experience, your customer base would be consistently grow to create an atmosphere where you can give your employees raises and still give a bonus to the Board Members.

Just an FYI having enough staff and the right team creates a great work environment where people will enjoy coming to work. When the company and the employees work together to create a healthy environment to work the company can become the Employer of Choice.

In my opinion, you have a long way to go!

If I can rate zero I would.. awful customer service i waited 25 minutes to be seen and still didnt get anywhere.. highly recommend not going there at all.

If I could give a zero I would. Never been treated so rudely by a manager ever. He seemed angry and wanted to argue with anyone. Inquired on opening a charge account, we had one previously, but they changed financial services. He insisted we had a personal account and never paid an outstanding bill. I asked him to show me, he couldn't. Told me to leave, my business was not wanted. I checked my system, we never had a final bill in the amount he argued. I only ever paid the store once directly for office chairs, which he insisted he delivered. I know he didn't because after pick up, they caught fire on our trailor (unrelated, I believe a cigarette from a vehicle). He either hates women or natives. I will never support this store EVER. Side note** the staff were very helpful and polite. Unfortunate they have such a disrespectful boss.

I brought my laptop in, because I noticed the screen had a small crack and the touch screen would freeze. When i bought the laptop, i paid the full 3 year protection plan for NO hassle repairs and replacement guarantee, and I have had nothing but issues just to get the laptop to a the repair department, now I am told that it won't charge and I must have given them the wrong charger cord.
So it still hasn't been backed up for shipping to repair department 2 weeks and still waiting. What did I pay the extra protection package for?

Disappointed with repair service. Brought in device for repair and was told it would take 1-2 days. Returned after 4 days, was again told it would take 1-2 days. Returned after an additional 4 days, was told that they hadn't looked at it yet and that they had a large backlog of work and wouldn't get to it for a week. Requested they return device and then went to another repair shop. Lost 4 stars for dishonesty of sales rep repeatedly saying it would be 1-2 days. Gained one star back for the honesty of the last sales rep I spoke to who truthfully said it would be at least a week before they could look at it.

Bought a printer for a senior family member for Christmas. Finally got around to installing it. However found that the box had been opened and the item didn’t work as expected. Took the item back to Staples Cold Lake and dealt with employee, Ankit. After explaining the issues, and reasons for the long delay in returning the item, Ankit helped us out in replacing the printer and provided a full exchange. He was very professional, courteous and understanding. Top marks for customer service!

If I could give zero stars I would. Walked in to find a printer and walked back and forth the same isle for about 20 mins and had zero employees ask if I needed help. There was even one employee that walked in front of me twice but didn't even look at me. After 20 mins of being ignored I ordered a printer from Amazon for $80 less and then walked out. Not the first time I've been disgusted by the service of this store.
