I had never been here before and was expecting the worst but the staff and dr were all amazing! They all went out of their way and beyond to help me with what I needed. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Thank u to all the staff and Dr's!

Went in for eye tests, they were pretty nice doing the tests but not at all patient, and never called my grown son about his glasses. Months later called to see if my other son was coming for his appt and the phone rang forever. Finally someone answers and I can tell them he won’t be there because they couldn’t even phone back about my younger sons prescription and she had a ton of excuses about how odsp sends them off and lower income people don’t matter. We’ve always had problems with rude staff but they’ve at least given us our glasses. Not anymore. Now they blatantly do not care

I have been going to Dr Hicks for years and think he's great. But some of the reception staff are not friendly at all ...borderline rude! The person that helped me look at frames and adjusted my own glassses, was so helpful and patient. I think her name was Tracey. Such a different experience from what I have had in the past.

No one answers the phone and when they do after several attempts, the receptionist/front desk staff is very rude and doesn’t acknowledge anything which makes me wonder if I’ve been cut off since I’m left in silence. Really unfortunate as the actual optometrists are very good.

I have had a number of eye problems in the past year and have always received excellent service from Dr. Hicks and his staff.
They are helpful, very accommodating and very pleasant.
Responded to my needs quickly and professionally.
I highly recommend .

I have been Dr. David Hicks' patient for many years.
I live in Ottawa and I make the trip to Smith Falls
because of his thorough, professional exams and friendly help
in choosing the correct eye wear best suited for me.
The delivery time for the glasses is quite fast once the choices are made.
The front counter staff is friendly and helpful.
If they're on the phone with other patients, they quickly finish with the call to greet me
and get me started with my visit.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hicks to friends & family.

Waited 3 months for my glasses, the fitting lady then proceeds to heat them and misshapen them to the point where they are unwearable or fixable I've taken them to multiple OTHER locations but they're to scared to fix them as the original DAMAGE caused by the employee was to much. No refund. No repair. Goodbye 370$
Been a few months but if you do some digging all the five star reviews are from staff friends and family. Not real people.
