I hired Sharon Rohoman last year to assist with my separation and divorce, and unfortunately, my experience with her was extremely disappointing. She was consistently unresponsive and failed to take any meaningful action on my file, ultimately wasting over six months of my time.

Because of her lack of urgency and follow-through, I had to delay listing my property for sale by 4-5 months, which resulted in approximately $25,000 in carrying costs. By the time we listed, it was off-season, and we were unable to sell the home, something that could have been avoided had she done her part. I still have the property and it has lost another $120,000 in value since which leaves me completely unable to sell it now.

During this period of complete inaction, my ex-husband had enough time to leave the country permanently. We missed a critical window to finalize the necessary documents and move forward with the separation properly. Now I’m left to deal with the legal and financial consequences on my own.

Sharon repeatedly gave excuses, vacations, illness, family emergencies, and while she apologized often, she never took responsibility or recommended that I find another lawyer if she wasn’t able to manage the file. I wish she had been honest about her availability or competence from the start.

If I had hired someone else from the start, I truly believe I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today. I do not recommend her services to anyone going through a difficult and time-sensitive family matter.
