Called to make an appointment to open an account there as I’m moving there, with my bank being over an hour away, and I only get an automated voice asking me for my account number, which I don’t have. ‍♀️ Didn’t want to have to wait in line to find out I need to make an appointment. ‍♀️

Update: was able to open an account with relative ease without an appointment, only having to wait in line awhile.

Awful service. I receive my payroll via cheque, and had it set up with RBC that they wouldn’t hold my payroll like a normal cheque deposit. Everything was fine for a long time until they changed it without my knowledge and starting holding it (for five business days). They refuse to release my funds, and refused to change my account settings back to what they were.
They were condescending and rude over the phone, and in person. I’ve been an RBC customer for 8 years and this is what they do. I am closing my account as soon as my payroll is released this week.

I have been waiting over a month for a call back from the bank manager and/or financial advisor after leaving two telephone messages and providing the tellers with our contact information twice. After 55 years of banking with RBC, I think it's time for a change.

Teller treated me like I was passing a bad cheque when making a deposit. Left 2 messages for bank manager in 2 weeks but have not received a call back. Been with the bank 50 years.
