I had a disappointing experience with Lora at Positive Statements. I initially chose her based on positive reviews, but I soon regretted that decision. She charged me more than double what my previous bookkeeper did, yet the quality of work was far inferior.

One major issue was her neglect in filing my quarter-end paperwork; I only found out it wasn’t done after I reached out post-deadline. Additionally, at least 3 times I reached out for help adjusting my QuickBooks account, but she never did the small task I asked her to do. I felt like I constantly had to pester her and even then the work didn't get done.

Her response times were consistently slow, and when I finally brought these things to her attention, she did not apologize, acknowledge any of my concerns or take responsibility in any way. When I decided to take my business elsewhere, her demeanor was unfriendly and combative.

I have since learned that several other clients have had negative experiences, too.

I would strongly recommend looking for bookkeeping services elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle and choose a professional who values their clients.

After doing business with other bookkeepers in Victoria, it is so refreshing dealing with Lora at Positive Statements and her team.

The books of my business are something that stress me out, I want things to be very tidy and organized. Not only has Lora been able to help me get there as a new business, her and her team are also VERY knowledgeable with a boat load of experience.

It feels good, it feels like a weight being lifted off your shoulders when you can trust your bookkeepers to take of you and your business. There is no team I would rather have behind me, my business partner and my business.

I have been getting bookkeeping support from Lora at Positive Statements since January 2020. I wish I had contacted them sooner. The professional service I am receiving is outstanding. Their advice is helping me learn about small business accounting so I can do some of the work myself, they are consulting with the CRA to share the COVID related financial updates with me, and are able to respond very quickly to questions and concerns I have.
