Avis et opinions

Esta entreprise a 773 avis sur Google My Business.

It’s a perfect place to enjoy the sun with beer! I ordered fish and chips too. It was crispy and delicious. The view is also nice with yachts and sea through the green.

Great campsite with amazing views. Staff at the marina office were very nice, especially River and Lindsey.

A few flaws though: the marina office closes quite early and the showers cost $2 for 5 minutes of showering

Sadly I had a bad experience on my birthday dinner. 🙁
Ordered a large green salad ($19) and chicken($8), but the chicken was cold/dry and the dressing was served on the side & extremely thick (and warmer than the dry chicken for some reason) so I couldn’t mix it in at all. I did complain and they fixed it but it took 15 minutes for them to come back to check on my food & didn’t really “make it right.” Overall disappointed and probably won’t be back except for a quick drink lol 🤷‍♀️

The marina was amazing, the staff is just awesome. River, who is the dock guy, works his tail off with a huge smile on his face. The marina facilities are new and in great shape. The pool is fantastic with a nice view of the bay. Provisioning is 1/2 mile away to a village. Easy walk. The village has everything you need. We did note that River came down to the dock on his day off to help out with a large group leaving. Again, with a huge smile on his face.

We rented one of the glamping tents. What a spot I tell ya. Amazing hospitality. Beautiful view. Really comfortable couch and bed. Was a little chilly out but with the little faux fireplace, our room was as warm as could be. Amazing value. And a pub with everything you could hope for on a gulf Island. Will recommend and be coming back.

Came here for Easter Sunday Dinner and we were very happy with it!! We got the fish tacos as a starter and the herb crusted lamp for dinner. The lamp was cooked perfectly and the fish tacos were yummy!

We the view from the restaurant is spectacular, I definitely suggest coming here 🙂

We just got back from our two week boat vacation through the Gulf Islands and this was one of our favourite spots. We travelled with 4 boat, 8 adults and 3 kids. We were initially going to stop in at Poets Cove but after a few rude encounters with the staff we phoned Port Browning, what a refreshing change. I think I had Laura on the phone at the marina and she was polite, helpful and very accommodating. They were able to get all 4 boats in at the end of a busy long weekend and also got us all together. With little kids, this is a huge bonus. This resort has a lot to offer so I am going to break it down:

Marina: This is a large marina and it is well kept, there is power but no potable water which is normal for small islands. When you have a large transient boat population it can be very challenging and people can be hard to deal with. This staff keeps it together and were all really helpful and polite. Special shout outs to Lindsay, Marc & Todd.

Facilities & Grounds: There is a small shop with some candies, ice cream, t-shirts, etc. There are showers and laundry, all reasonably priced. The pool is great! I read some complaints about it being cold and it is cold but our 5, 8 & 9 year olds had a blast. There is nice seating around the pool, its clean and well kept. Heating a pool is a big expense and having experienced other pools at resorts that are green and overheated, this was a welcome change. The grounds on this resort are quite big. There is camping and glamping, full picnic and BBQ area as well as a ton of space to run around and play games.

Pub: This is a small island which means supplies and staff can be an issue so go in with patience. The pub has a lovely deck overlooking the ocean and the inside is equally comfortable. We had 8 adults and 3 kids so we planned ahead. They don't take reservations but they are very helpful on suggesting the best time to come up for meals and are clear right from the start when they have supply issues and items on the menu are missing. The menu is right at the hostess station and available on line, if you are picky or have certain expectations then do some research first. We had a great time and the staff were excellent even though they were clearly slammed and going 100 miles an hour. The other nice thing is when the kids were done they were able to go outside and run around and we could see them clearly from the patio.

Supplies & nearby: A very easy 15 min walk up from the resort will take you to a shopping area that has groceries, liquor store, book shop, bakery, pharmacy, another pub and more.

All in all this was a great stop over on our trip, we have really great memories and will definitely come back again.
