Waited for a month to get booked into a doctor so that I could have a regular family doctor that was close to home and to get referred for an endometrial ablation.

Positives is that she did acknowledge my request for the appointment, the need to do a physical, and overall acknowledged my input.

The doctor seemed pretty open and understanding and very receptive to what I had to say. However has the appointment carried on, I noticed that she started to seem like she was rushing through things. She had told me that she was running late and that I was only booked for 15 minutes which I was not made aware of by the receptionist to book me in. I never heard of such a thing before. It did feel like my my time was being cut into so she could be on time for the next appointment. The vibe I got was that she wasn't used to running behind or didn't like to do so which is good but it felt like it costed me the time I needed.

As the appointment carried on and I was describing my health history she had mentioned that she could get me a psychiatrist online so I wouldn't have to travel and that I could be put on fluoxetine to help with my PMS and mood issues. I declined the need of these services as these overall weren't my concern as they did not pose a challenge to my daily living activities. Throughout the appointment she brought up the psychiatrist and the medications over five times despite my initial decline insisting that I didn't need it. The gesture was gentle but excessive which wasn't necessary.

The takeaway: could be a really great doctor in the field, she seems pretty new to her career. Acknowledge the declines to a suggestion or maybe at the end of the appointment reiterate the options even the declined ones, don't try to rush through appointments as if it's a quota, and don't go to meds as a first option and she'll be a great doctor. Her strong points are that she listens receptively, she gives options and explains the processes, she also acknowledged my own medical knowledge which is key

The worst medical clinic, stuck in 18th century. I came for emergency visit fainting with terrible acute kidney pain. The treatment in emergency department was “amazing ”. They just gave me some shot of painkiller , antibiotic and advised to take Advil. They didn’t do any lab analysis to find out the reason. Simply sent me home without diagnosis, ignored me when I asked the doctor to direct me for ultrasound or CT, the doctor just refused. One week after I came to clinic to book appointment with the physician on this medical problem. They booked my appointment in 2 months on December 27, and when finally I came for a visit on December 27 the receptionist told me that my appointment was canceled because the doctor is not here and we need to rebook for January 27. They do not duly notify the patients about the doctor schedule changes. It’s 2024 and people in Tisdale hospital don’t know about the existence of email or at least text messages , the only possible method to communicate is by phone, and if accidentally you missed the call, nobody will try to reach you out again. It’s terrible approach, definitely not patient-oriented!!! And the receptionist was simply lying that they were calling me a couple of times. It’s not true.

Place is a joke 2 month wait to see my family doctor. Gotta phone right at 9am to get an appointment if your a minute late too bad try again tomorrow 🙃. I am sure they have clowns working at this medical office instead of knowledgeable professionals. If you are able to get a doctor elsewhere!

We were able to easily book a walk-in appointment for the same day.

Dr. Eastfanous was very personable and helpful. Good visit overall!

A three week wait for a phone consultation, unless they reschedule it without telling you, and then Dr Abiara phones 4 hours late (two days later) but promises to call the next day. And then never phones back. And then phones late each of the next three times you rearrange your schedule to accommodate hers. Now there is a four week wait for any phone call.
Incompetent is the nicest word that comes to mind when I think of this clinic.

While I am sure the doctors are more than knowledgeable; they lack the ability to act like they care. Everyone is dismissive and negligent of any form of making you feel like they care about your issues. I understand that doctors CAN'T care about everyone that they see, as that would be far too exhausting to maintain. Though even feigning that they care would help. There is also a severe lack of communication. Queries made are not followed up and stop you from moving forward.

I know all Dr.are knowledgeable but they have there expertise in their profession, but in my own experience they should know what they are doing example if you have ultrasound done in Melfort why the patient has to book to see the results of the ultrasound and it takes almost a week make sense and I have another issues I missed my appointment why they never called me in that day of appointment hopefully will you guys should have aware or change the old school system
