Great to learn about the history and geology of the area! I wish they had a few more locally-made gifts instead of imports from larger art companies that you can also buy in Vancouver etc.

We enjoyed this fantastic little museum and shop with a mix of both indigenous art and artifacts as well canol trail historical pieces. Super friendly and informative staff.

Wonderful museum, especially for a small community. Well worth the visit. Candace, the manager, was welcoming and very helpful. A nice selection of traditional crafts was another big draw. Thanks!

A gold mine of aviation artifacts . Lots of information about the pipeline and early history. Many well prepared placards detailing people and equipment used. Lots of very interesting stories to bring the past alive! Well done.

Great little museam and gift shop. You can find lots of local arts and crafts along with other gifts. The museum is a good source of history on Norman Wells and the Canol Pipeline.

A must see if in Norman Wells. Great museum and gift shop. Nice decor, loads of info, history and great displays, with a cozy fireplace next to the chairs where you can watch the history of the canol pipe.

Wonderful place. Helpful and friendly staff with a decent knowledge base of handmade items. If you pay shipping, they'll even send items you may not be able to take on your travels with you. Whether you're hunting or canoeing, your items might reach home before you do. It's not a big place, but there's so much information! You could sit all day and watch videos about the construction of the town's interesting oil industry. There's movies of the CANOL trail, making of the artificial islands, the pipeline from there to Alberta. There's videos of canoeing the Keele River and even one about making a moose hide boat. The museum part is filled with fascinating photos and artifacts from older to newer eras. All in all, a wonderful place. Would recommend to family, friends and even strangers.
