First of all, I didn't choose them but passed onto them. They didn't let me sign the engagement letter right away and they did my taxes and was shocked of the invoice when I received it, and then they let me sign the engagement letter. I am self-employed and nothing complicated, they changed my year end for their benefit (so they have to do the year end taxes) even it's 6 months away, which left me owing $$ to the CRA. I never had problem with my 2 previous accountants, just them. Not only that, high interest penalty charge even during COVID-19. If I only read the engagement letter from the beginning, then this wouldn't be the case. Too many overheads I observed too. Good luck.
