Mary MacInnis showed the utmost professionalism throughout our dealings with her. She navigated our journey through the Canadian tax system brilliantly leaving us totally satisfied. Her staff was friendly and helpful at all times.. no question was too much to deal with and we always had answers quickly. We highly recommend her and cannot thank her enough. I had approached Mary for helping with the selling of my house in Nova Scotia- from my first phone call with her, I felt antagonized and she was forgetting that I was the client. I am a US Citizen and she said "I hope you are not like other nasty US Citizens that don't like paying their taxes," I was stunned by what she said but I thought I would stay on with her hoping things would get better, which they did not . Mary never contacted my lawyers nor informed me of what I needed to to do as US Citizen in getting my house sold- she had her assistant send me a test email to see if my account even worked, (which I thought bizarre) I replied back, and never heard back, she always was short and curt on the phone, very unpleasant. I have never written a review before but in this case wanted to share my experience with other so that they may not have to go through the toxic (almost hostile) experience I had, please go find yourselves a tolerant, pleasant CPA as one should have. But not mean Mary...Unprofessional.

I switched all of my business and personal accounting to Mary MacInnis CPA three years ago. Surprised by one negative recent post as my experience has been the exact opposite. Mary and her Staff are extremely professional and ethical to a fault. I have always been treated in a priority and friendly manner and Mary correctly navigated me through what were complex business accounting requirements. I would recommend Mary and her firm without hesitation! DH
