What a smooth process from start to finish, friendly, courteous and all around professionalism. We called around to get quotes and Mark is very reasonable. Our broker dropped the ball but Mark's Assistant, Mary was there with us every step of the way to pick things up. I am so happy with our choice to go with this firm. Highly recommend.

Mark and his staff have been simply exceptional! I am a repeat customer for my real estate needs and found everything to go exactly as planned. Mark and his staff really take the worry away and make everything run smoothly. Specifically, Mary from his office is great at getting things done and done early! She had keys to our new place to us before 11am on closing day and had everything processed for the sale around the same time two weeks later (bridge loan). We are very satisfied and will be certain to have Mark MacKew's office work for us again as needed!

Went to his office for years. Last house we purchased and what happened to my friend has cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of heartache and headaches.
The seller of the house didn't drop off the keys at noon as required. Their office still handed over the cheque. After 4pm on a Friday they finally got ahold of a relative of the sellers and got their copy of the key. We picked it up and walked into a house that was completely trashed and many fixtures were removed. Restoration quote was over $30,000.00 just to gut it, over $150,000.00 to put it back to how it looked on our last walk through. Called within 20 minutes of getting the keys. The employee I dealt with was beyond rude and after speaking to Mark found out once the cheque was handed over there was nothing to be done except for taking them to court. Small claims could only recover up to $25,000 at the time.
My friend used this office a few years later. They received their keys and a tax bill for $20,000.00 for the previous owner not paying for the water connection. Mark's office claimed after the deal closed it could be corrected at city hall. City hall said once the deal closed they were stuck with it, since the deal closing meant they took responsibility for the debt and the lawyers knew that. They should have never allowed the deal, they were more worried about getting paid then what they would cost their clients.

This law firm doesn’t implement Ontario rules with regards to real estate.. I can assure you its supporting corruption.. I am married to a man we we’re saving for downpayment for a house and my husband went and bought the house by himself during my job loss (a month only) i knew that my husband lied to the law firm and said he is divorced. Therefore I was not called to go and sign the consent according to Ontario law. I told the lawyer and gave him full details. He refused to correct the situation justifying that I am not his client and my husband is his client.

If I could give no stars I would. Lack of responsiveness. Lack of professionalism. There was hidden fees that were not disclosed. There was a weeks delay in getting back to us.. I would highly recommend not using this law firm. They intend to close their doors at the end of the month to retire and they are choosing to leave with this reputation.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This isn't even my lawyer, bought a house and their lawyers had the keys. Being told I could just pickup the keys on Monday, I showed up in the morning and this lady at the front desk started losing it on me that I don't own the house yet and we have to wait for the bank. Instead of being kind and explaining she was rude and ignorant. Can't believe you can treat someone like that 8 months pregnant, day of their house closing and when I drove two hours to get to your law firm. So unprofessional, the worst experience just from walking through the door.
