I guess I could have saved myself some time if I read the Reviews prior to hiring Carley Parish to assist us. We showed up for a appointment with Carley to assist with a Probate Application. We waited several minutes and it was obvious she forgot about us. She arrived through the back door rushed us through the process and off we went. Didn't even take her jacket off lol. We were told 4 to 6 weeks to wait for it to return from Courts. I did a follow-up couple months in and was told still waiting at Courts to be reviewed and after 5 months I made a call and was told the approved paperwork was at their office for months and because of lack of Staff and miscommunication at the Courthouse our letter was misplaced. We asked Carley for a refund as it was simply her lack of organization and lack of Follow-up as to why we were delayed. Carley spoke to us in a way that made it seem like it was all our fault and took no ownership for her and her Staff lack of organization. She was unprofessional and down right Rude. Do your research on this one. She is not someone that is has the best interest of the client. We simply made a point to her that the Service we got was not acceptable and she got personal and in our opinion unprofessional.

Avoid this lawyer at all costs! I hired Carley three years ago to represent me in my divorce, and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. We went to court multiple times, yet every court date felt like a wasted opportunity—filled with endless emails and phone calls that led nowhere. I provided her with all the necessary documents, yet it seemed she either misplaced them or simply failed to file them on time.

To add to my frustration, she consistently forgot my name and called me by a different name, which felt disrespectful during such a crucial process. In one particularly distressing conversation, I shared that my children were terrified of returning to their father's home. Rather than offering helpful advice, she instructed me to keep the kids with me and suggested we file a motion later. For six long months, my children stayed with me, their father didn't even try to contact them! Then, out of the blue, Carley informed me that his lawyer was going to hold me in contempt for not returning them. I was beyond shocked—her advice had put me in this untenable position!

As if that wasn't enough, we ended up back in court yet again, this time with demands for another Voice of the Child assessment and a parental assessment, which collectively cost around $15,000—on top of the $19,000 I had already paid her. I even had to take out a bank loan to cover her fees, while she still held funds in trust from the sale of our family home. To make matters worse, I soon received a collection notice for over $17,000, and I couldn't believe it—nothing substantial had been accomplished in my case.

Her negligence and poor guidance made it increasingly difficult for me to qualify for legal aid. I never expected that seeking help would leave me feeling trapped and helpless. If you're looking to end your marriage or ensure your children's safety, do not hire Carley. She does not care and she certainly does not listen. Please, avoid this lawyer at all costs.

would absolutely not recommend Carley,Take your $ elsewhere. Nothing but the run around. Could'nt answer questions straight- waited for paperwork the day of court it was issued..was told a month later it wasn't ready- it was then provided to us from CPS date stamped for the day of court. She can't be trusted!

Made an appointment 3 weeks in advance with an already time sensitive case. Did the check on the phone to see if there was any conflicts and they're was not. I called the day before the appointment to confirm the appointment was still good. After driving 1 hour and 30 mins to the meeting we pay the consultation fee. Sit down to have a chat with Carley Perrish and we weren't 5 minutes and she leaves to check a name and there was conflict. Carley then packs her notebook up and writes a number down for someone else who might be able to help. We get the refund for the appointment. However it is yet to be back in the bank account. Get to the car and try calling this number and it's not even the correct number for this firm. Very disappointed. This was already a time sensitive case and now I have been set back 3 weeks. All I wanted was a good legal representation and clearly it wasn't here. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I made an appointment last week with this law firm. They booked my appointment for 2:00pm Friday, April 19th 2024. I took half a day off work and drove 45 minutes out of my way to Hampton fo this appointment. Gas is currently at 1.83 litre. I arrive 10 minutes prior to the appointment and am greeted by their front desk staff. I give my name and then the staff member asks me if I wa told about a $175 comsult fee, which was most certainly not mentioned in our 20 minute discussion we had on the phone while making this appointment. Kind of a crucial piece of information left out. So now I wasted half a days Pay, $30 in fuel to wind up not even speaking to a lawyer. I think the staff should mention this rather expensive "consult" fee before wasting my 20 minutes of time explaining my situation setting the appointment, missing out on a half days worth of work which I needed and the money for fuel there and back. I wouldn't trust any legal work to a firm that can not disclose known, important information such a financial fee to a potential client. Thanks for the waste of my time and money.

Horrendous experience using Carley Parish as my lawyer a number of yrs ago . I switched to another lawyer ( Natasha MacKay ) had a fabulous experience with this lawyer . I continue to use her for my will and home purchase.I recently was at the hospital and the lady waiting next to me had shared she reported Carley Parish to the law society and she was disbarred for 3 days .I would agree with a previous comment she is a disgrace to the legal profession.

Wasn't impressed with their high prices, when I desperately needed a commissionaire of oaths.
