It's really frustrating that you can't reach them over the phone. When you call this number, 1-866-845-3425, to make an application, they tell you to wait on the line for 30 minutes, but it usually takes much longer. You might even need to take time off work to handle this. It seems they only respond when you use the lawyers' line option; otherwise, it's nearly impossible to get through. Their hold messages keep saying things like "You are on the priority line" and "An agent will talk to you soon," but there's rarely a response. I've also tried emailing them without any luck. I've been attempting to get through since the first week of December 2024. Does anyone know how I can file a complaint?

The problem with legal aid is you're not paying them so they will do the bare minimum for you. You could use that as an excuse for a mistrial possibly. Lack of proper representation. The trick is do not report any under the table income. Use those tax free dollars and offer your lawyer a "thank you card" *wink wink* lol

Recently contacted to make an inquiry. The lady staff member who answered the phone call hung up while speaking with her. I was respectful and courteous throughout the conversation, but the staff member demonstrated none of these qualities, as evident from her behavior. Recommend avoiding this agency and its services at all costs.

It’s good but honestly the whole system is so garbage that u need a good connection to beat a case otherwise it’s a corrupt thing to be involved in, also never use KIM ROSS, as a lawyer he is the biggest scoundrel I’ve ever encountered in my life. I wish the worst pain possible to be inflicted apon him and his children and their children for many generations

I’m a lady on aish. I own a home but reside right now in a facility. My brother is trying to steal my home an put a caveat on it to get the govt to pay this facility. Normally u have to live in the home to be exempt for aish. I called legal aid for some help and they said I cannot qualify financially bc my name is on the title of the house. This doesn’t make any sense bc this caveat is also on my title. I cannot get any money from the house sale as long as there is a caveat on it. They won’t help me to fight the caveat or any other issue I’m facing. They expect me to be homeless. I asked to speak to a supervisor as well and no one contacted me back. If u r a business looking to make donations to a charity pls don’t support this one. Thank u

I applied many times for spousal support legal aid, I am jobless. they didn't approved it.
I also applied now for help in divorce and need to reply in 20 days. I have only 5 days left to defend my self for divorce. Is legal aid reply me in these 5 days. I don't know what to do.

Legal aid is pretty good so far. So far there service has been top to none and I’m very happy with there service. Now hopefully I can add to this once my family mater is resolved.
