So grateful for the assistance of Sébastien and his team. No one ever wants to have a legal issue when it comes to employment or human rights, so it is such a relief to be in capable hands, who can give you balanced, experienced advice and guide you through the process.

The firm is uniquely equipped to deal with employment and human rights matters. Their lengthy experience gives in-depth support, while their size means you’re not lost in the shuffle of a massive firm. Communication and time in the office was comfortable. I was confident in hearing the team’s considerations and sharing in the strategic process.

The Labour Rights Law team were well equipped to advise me on the timelines, statutes, and legal precedence with which to build my case. The matter is still under adjudication but I feel more well placed to make decisions and stay the course with their support. Their help has turned a deeply stressful time into a much more manageable and confident process.

I am so happy I was referred to Sebastien Anderson when my relationship with my former employer broke down. He offered solid advice on my rights as an employee while I was still employed and when I was constructively dismissed, Sebastien and his team were solidly in my corner every step of the way, even when it seemed like the court system was not. After years of delays and appeals, we finally had our opportunity in court and Sebastien won me a very generous (and just) judgement. If you are having issues with an employer and want to know about your rights and options, I can’t recommend Labour Rights Law highly enough.

They are professionals with keen communication. Alina is a decent lawyer with honest and open approach. She helped me to increase my severance offer on just a single appointment. I recommend to meet her for your human rights and job dissmissal issues/dispute, you won't regret that.

Aline (Ali) G. Morrissey was extremely helpful in my case. She is very professional and a kind person. I had legal issues with my employment and required immediate legal intervention. Ali was so kind that she agreed to a legal consultation on an urgent basis. She is an expert in handling cases related to unfair compensation and unlawful termination by public sector organizations. She was very patient and thorough in reviewing my case file and all the related documentation. She asked me for all the details, including any instances of racism, workplace abuse, or human rights violations. In one hour, she laid out a plan for me to present my case myself. With her legal advice, my compensation doubled in just one negotiation with my previous employer. Thank you, Ali, for your help—it was a pleasure to meet you. I’m happy to recommend you to anyone dealing with similar labor rights issues.

Special thanks to Tania Michani for helping me get an urgent consultation appointment and coordinating my consultation and paperwork.

It was good to meet you, Ankit Senapati, and thanks for welcoming me so kindly at the reception.

Nice to meet you, Fatemeh Saidi, and thanks for letting me pet the little Labor Rights Law mascot 🙂

Labour Rights Law have been amazing. I needed to find a law firm that knew the BC labour code, specific to certifications and organizing. Labour Rights was that firm. Whether it was a small question to a complex file they provided me with sound legal advice which ultimately led to a favorable outcome. I had the pleasure of working with several of their lawyers and they were all fabulous, with their experience I could depend on having my questions answered for the most part without having to pay for hours of legal research. In the times that required a legal opinion, it was always provided expeditiously. Highly recommend!

I went to Labour Rights Law to get advice and services on a Human rights complaint related to disability.
They gave me an initial free consultation where I was impressed with their insight and advice on how to proceed.
They advised me on how to interact with the human rights tribunal.
When my former employer tried to circumnavigate the Human rights process and filed an action to dismiss my complaint in BC Supreme court. They represented me in court and made some very convincing legal arguments to have the employers petition dismissed.
The court decided in our favor which resulted in giving us a good bargaining position for a settlement with my former employer.
They provided great support along the whole way in this process. They were very understanding of the impact of the costs and our budget and helped us make key decisions on where to spend money and where not to. Overall they reduced the stress that we had. We are very grateful.

I approached this firm with concerns regarding my PIP and Severance package. I chose to hire them over other law firms because of their expertise and reputation in handling similar cases.
Sherry Shir, the attorney assigned to my case, provided me with comprehensive sessions and explained all the relevant details. Her guidance and support were invaluable throughout the process.
As a result of their work, I gained the knowledge and confidence to communicate and negotiate effectively with my manager and HR. I also became aware of my rights in the situation.
The outcome of their assistance had a significant impact on my life. I experienced mental relief knowing I had expert guidance on my side, and I ultimately secured a better package.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the services provided by this firm and would highly recommend them to anyone facing similar challenges.
