This place is a farce.

I have tried twice to access the Justice Access Centre for mediation.

The first mediator was so biased towards me that they blatantly ignored what I said and started projecting her own traumas and narrative that even the person I was there to have the mediation with recommend we switch mediators.

To so we had to restart the process, (which is fine), and the other party had their meeting right away, (again no problem). The problem arose almost a month later, when the new mediator did not even bother showing up to the scheduled meeting without any indication, leaving me sitting around wasting my time.

I do not feel this place values the public's time, and honestly I get the feeling it's staff needs to be replaced with a more respectful, competent, and more professional personnel.

A helpful service for families looking to move forward and create a mutual agreement in the child focused way that is best fitted. A helpful (and mandatory) first step in the family law process in BC. Understanding and professional, non biased mediators .

The lady staff J… was sooo rude and unprofessional. Good luck for people who have appointment with her.

I have had nothing but great service from the staff at the Justice Access Centre. They have guided me through a rather complicated process of serving documents internationally. They're always sensitive that I may be in a negative emotional state and frustrated with the legal system that seems only navigable by lawyers which is exactly why this centre exists.
I live on a remote island, so to save myself many days off work going back and forth, I was able to schedule phone meetings (somewhat schedule as walk in clients come first, which I understand). I was walked through all the documents and when I had them prepared, I emailed them to have them reviewed, a few suggestions back to me and I was able to submit. Everything went smoothly!

Disappointing experience. The process caused extensive emotional suffering for both myself and my children. It dragged on for 4 months. Simple changes to documents took weeks. I believe the system, perhaps just my mediator, gave false hopes to our family and allowed my spouse to dominate the process and hurt my children. I would hope that other families receive upfront information prior to beginning the process so that they are better-able to weigh the potential consequences that this mediation might have - as well as provide reasonable timelines for processing and receiving information.

My mediator was not the best the whole process I felt protected my ex and further helped him not have to pay me child support. During mediation things we should have talked about she wouldn't allow. Not much got resolved very few things. What a headache this whole process has been

Very helpful and returned my call about unreceived mail from 3 weeks prior with actual concern whether I had received my mail or not and will help with as much as they possibly can over the phone with great personal communication during your conversation.

Thanks for your help with a out dated order that has been affecting my life for near 20 yrs with out knowing the extent of the damage till i was finally informed and directed how to use the system to find information and directed to the proper route of forms and order so that i may be free of a order that is still in effect until its changed.thanks to everyone there that made things a little more fair and reasonable for a gentleman living with a acquired brain injury.
