Professional, Efficient, and a Breath of Fresh Air

After five years of frustration with Brooke MacLeod and her lawyer Firestone - ( been on three years and claimed after two years to still not be ready to proceed so I had to put it down without his input) who repeatedly delayed matters with irrelevant 30+ page affidavits and constant lawyer changes—I turned to Johns Southward LLP. The difference was night and day. My experience with MacLeod and Firestone was they were very colorful and I had to check the DARs and law to see if they were telling the truth, and 90% of time they were not. I was getting tired of the stupidity and corruption.

I had an incident where I could not make court and hired Johns Southward LLP who cut through the noise with clear, concise responses that saved time and money, often just a few pages compared to the opposing side’s wasteful approach. They also uncovered key issues in the MacLeod file I never would have found on my own. My phone records showed her billing hours were exaggerated and they were trying to keep the phone records
Out - the defence of MacLeod and Firestone do not want the truth. Incidentally a taxation is for the public to review a lawyers bill and is usually done within 90 days. Look at other lawyers review websites and read everything before choosing a lawyer.

The key word that describes this entire office is "arrogance".
They all seem to think they are very important people and perhaps in New York City. Even the para-legal has an attitude and is full of herself. Don't breath too heavy in this office or they will charge you for it.

Johns Southward LLP recently represented me following a serious motor vehicle accident. Ryan Ashmead, one of the partners of the firm, was my lawyer for this matter. I suffered serious injuries due to the MVA including multiple fractures requiring multiple surgeries.

I found Ryan and this firm to be very supportive and helpful throughout the entire legal process. His Paralegal, Tara Kirkland, was highly responsive and super helpful when I inquired about anything on the matter. Ryan and his team facilitated meetings with top medical specialists in BC. These doctors helped with my lawsuit, and also with my healing process. Although we were very prepared to go to trial, Ryan was able to settle the matter on the first day of scheduled hearings, procuring a significant financial compensation which I was very happy with.
