Jena was fantastic to work with, we had quite a few ups and downs and she handled them all which significantly lowered my stress level. We went from court to trying to settle out of court and then back to court with lots of silence in between from the other party. Jena was great at following up and staying on top of things. She showed up late to a consultation, didn’t clearly communicate fees, didn’t give any legal advice and then bills for more time than spent. After billing, she harasses you for over two years, knowing full well that is HARASSMENT prohibited by the civil and criminal law. I wouldn’t seek advice from such a desperate “lawyer”. She walks a fine line with client confidentiality - shouldn’t confirm or deny any client having contacted your office. Super unprofessional and likely contrary to her obligations as “lawyer”. The law society would be a better forum for complaints and to hold her to account.

Jena is not in this for the money! She, and my husband and I, wanted what was best for the kids. This scenario was a battle between my husband and his ex over the teenage children wanting to live with Dad.

Could we have gotten more child support if we dragged this through court? Absolutely. More in section 7 expenses? Likely. BUT we would have spent thousands more in court and put the kids through unnecessary stress and trauma to get there. Jena got us exactly what what we wanted in the end...the kids! More importantly, the kids got what they wanted ... To live with Dad.

Jena did her job in guiding us, educating us and ALWAYS keeping the kids in mind. When the other lawyer tried bullying tactics, she shut it down. Highly recommended!!
