I believe that Caitlyn Mcann helped my ex extort me. On June 6th 2023 my ex threatened, “ I won't be letting you see him anymore after this until I'm getting to court ” The next day my ex charged me with four counts of assault and uttering death threats of a historic nature(all claims were dated prior to our signing of the separation agreement in 2019.) 2018 my ex called Caitlyn while I was in the office with her. Caitlyn reiterated to me that my ex was threatening to press charges of a historic nature if I did not return a laptop by the end of the week. It was explained to me that this is called extortion. When it came to the decision of devision of property, Caitlyn expressed she was not confident she would be able to get me an equal devision of my ex and my property because of the allegations of abuse my ex was claiming occurred. Instead of opting to go to court and pay Caitlyn about $35000 in legal fees and risk being charged criminally for alleged offences, I paid Caitlyn a retainer of $1500 to create and get my ex to agree with a separation agreement. In the agreement my ex was offered a much larger portion of our devision of property than she should have been entitled to because of the allegations of abuse and she agreed and signed that the separation agreement that this would be settling all issues between us. I’ve reached out to Caitlyn a couple times now once at her office and once by phone and she refuses to see or respond back. I was lead to believe that by not fighting my ex in court and by agreeing to a separation agreement it would be less costly and would prevent me from being charged historically with alleged offences. In her notes I found several clerical errors made by Caitlyn and errors in important information that I had given to her in person as she typed. I found Caitlyn really did not have much time to spare to answer my questions or have any success getting my ex to sign the separation agreement but shortly after my ex lifted communication between us and tried to pursue a relationship with me I was able to compel my ex to agree to the separation agreement myself.
