This will be our go-to place for any legal matters. Vicki and Briana are incredible. We encountered some bumps during our sale process, but they were knowledgeable and provided excellent communication. We felt we could truly count on them, especially during uncertain times, which meant a lot after such a long and difficult process to finally sell our home. I saw good reviews, which is why I reached out, but after our experience, I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

I booked time with a lawyer here for estate planning, which a $250 deposit was required. They did say that I required 24hr notice otherwise they will keep the deposit. The day of my phone appointment (not in person) I ended up in the E.R. and wasn't able to call (they were not open) and wasn't able to send an email until close to my appointment (still before they opened). They said that they were not going to refund my deposit or reschedule. I even said I could take the call, but might have to stop if a doctor came, and they also said no (I even sent a photo from the hospital). So this firm doesn't even have the human decency to make an exception--it says a lot about their lawyers and staff. I'm now glad that I'm not giving them any more of my money and business.

Response to Owners Reply
"all you would have had to do was leave a voicemail or send an email" -- I had FULL intention of making the call but ended up in EMERGENCY the day off the call and was not able to call or email until the last moment. Your response makes my point.

Also under the founder, DIANNA M. RIEVAJ, bio she says "She understands that there usually aren’t enough hours in the day or dollars in the bank."

The Highlander Team provided me with expert advice and assistance with regard to an easement matter related to my property. I am an Ontario resident and own property in Nova Scotia. I was able to work with the team remotely while I was in Ontario and the process was seamless. They were responsive and professional and resolved the matter for me efficiently. I would highly recommend.

We recently had the opportunity to work with Briana and Vicki to complete the sale of our home, and they did an amazing job walking us through the process. What I really appreciated was their quick responses to various questions we had along the way, especially since real estate transactions can be very time sensitive.

Briana especially went above and beyond for us, assisting with retrieving a deposit that was cashed for a purchase we didn't complete.

I'll definitely be using their services in the future.

Thank you, Briana and Vicki, for making everything so easy!

We have had the pleasure of working with Dianna on the purchase of a house as well as completing our wills. She was able to answer any and all of our questions while working in a prompt and efficient manner. Her admin team is also easy to reach and respond quickly. I highly recommend this firm.

From the moment I connected with Highlander Law, a referral from a colleague, the whole process was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated Dianna's honesty and advice. From first contact to post meeting took only a couple of days. I would easily recommend Dianna and Highlander Law.

I would give them no stars if possible. Long story short but they don't understand the potential client's situation and are just firm on their situation. Clearly a misunderstanding from both sides but no intention of even attempting to meet in the middle. I am in Eastern time zone and after their paralegal called and we set a date, I sent an email to confirm the date and time. Clearly, I had the wrong time due to the time zone difference. No one sent me an email reply to say I had the time wrong. Then they called on the day of consultation and was not clear to the person who answered. They should not assume that whoever answers the call knows what they are talking about. Also they said that they told my colleague if I call back within 10min, we can still do the consultation but my colleague never received this message. I was in the office at the time they called but not at my desk. My colleague came to let me know they called about a meeting and I thought they were giving an hour advance notice. If they were more clear and if they did actually inform my colleague that I can call back in ten min, I would have done so because this was an important meeting. I asked them if we can meet in the middle somewhere. For example, if they cannot waive the second consultation fee, then to give us some discount and meet in the middle. Since I had the wrong time and they never responded to my email (which I sent to two people at this firm), I felt that could have been possible since it was both party mistake but nope, they were not willing to work with us on this. Also, they do not send any Calendar notifications so if anyone decides to go with them, please make sure to confirm the time and date in a way that can be evidence. Even if you have evidence, I do not think they will care if you misunderstood. They are only concerned about bringing income. They could have had our case for a larger retainer fee but all they got from us is the initial consultation fee which is only a few $100. I decided to think positively and think that this consultation fee (the consultation which we didn't have) saved me from the possible headache that would have resulted from stubborn people. If you are working in a service job, you should learn how to be considerate and should be more understanding. These people don't seem to be the case..
