My husband and I showed up for an appointment to discuss his father’s estate and we were met with a lawyer who thought we were there to discuss our Wills. When we cleared that up and started to discuss what we were actually there for things went way off topic and we walked out no further ahead, confused, and received a $565 bill! He didn’t even look at the forms we were confused about. We spoke a lawyer at a different firm and had a 20 minute phone call with, she sorted everything out and charged us nothing for the call and only $60 for notarizing a form. Maybe this was just a bad day for this firm but $565 is steep for basically wasting our time.
