For 35$ to do your personal tax. Expect a long line up. Go 1.5-2 hours before they open to get a good place in line. Bring a chair. Sit down. Relax. LIKE MY DOG SUSHI GIRL. Or wait in your car with the heat on. Do not stress. Tax season is very busy for everyone. We all know that, these people are professional. Fast. Efficient, ask all the necessary questions. I have been going here for almost 10 years and always a pleasure. Not once has the CRA contacted me saying there has been an error on my taxes. It’s no bueno to see the bad reviews but everyone has a different experience. This is mine. Peace and love everyone. Happy filing for 2025 😃

I chose to wait closer to the end of tax season.
Found no wait. Was in & out of there under 30mins?!!
(Helen completed 3&4 yrs basic filing for two individuals. So.. 7 seperate basic filing)

I have never written a review before either. The older blonde woman who works here received my taxes for the drop-off tax service, said she noticed I was applying as single rather than common law. I had been asked in the past if I want to declare but my partner and I do not share money, and i dont make enough money, paying back my student loans would be too cumbersome unless I had a higher paying job. She said "I have to" i said no i dont i havent in the past. Well, she filed my taxes under common law anyways and now the government is forcing me to enter repayment for my loans, which means the interest is now collecting. I can only make the minimum payments so i will lose THOUSANDS of dollars over the course of repayment. If i could have waited until i had a higher paying job, i could've put more money down every month, and the interest would be less overall. My bills are now exceeding $2300/mo and I dont bring in enough money to even pay off my credit card, so i am now sinking slowly into debt further.

This place will do what they want with your taxes if you leave them in their care, pay the extra few bucks and just get it done somewhere else. I am done with Happy Tax.

I hardly write a review in my life, but this is worth sharing for everyone. this is the worst place to get your taxes done! I came together with my family and lined up for 4 hours. Andrew the owner is the one that attended to us. in the beginning I can see his unhappy as I have 3 T4's and he has to enter too many information such as my licenses etc. I am also to claim for the disabilty tax credit for my father. I am providing him receipts of the medical expenses I paid throughout the year. he looked and said to me "this are all garbage! Take it somewhere." I told him that we waited outside in the cold for 4 hours and he will just send us away like that. I politely spoke to him and was asking us to be entertained, He pretended not hearing a thing and said once more, " You're documents are unorganized and garbage.!" I went to the receptionist to ask help but she said she can't do anything about it as he is the owner.

We left and went to Liberty Tax and were accommodated right away with respect and kindness. The documents that Andrew claimed as "garbage" was claimed with no issues as they are part of medical expenses.

I would not recommend this place! just because they have so many clients lining up that they don't care about customer service and respect. Yes they are cheap, but you are getting the service that you paid for. Unprofessional arrogant and rude owner!!!!

I won't go into details. However though, I must said that I had a great experience doing my tax filing in there. From the beautiful and pleasant lady who greeted me, and gave me a ticket with my number, to the super skilled, efficient, professional, and cool gentleman who did my taxes, was a very pleasant experience. It was my first time, doing my taxes over there. So, I had read some not so good reviews about this business. Since I am a person who likes to see for yourself, so that I can verify information, I was more eager to go there. Another lady, had recommended me this business, and that's how I found out about this amazing and affordable tax filing services.
So, my advice to all my fellow friends. When you go anywhere, use some politeness, a pleasant attitude, some good manners, and show some gratitude. As well, when it comes to the taxe filing, bring all your documents well organized, and presentable, so that it is faster for your tax agent to navigate them through. As well, I must had the lucky stars on my favor the day I want to do my taxes because I didn't even have to wait, not even half an hour for me to go in.
So, I am very thankful and grateful to this amazing business for such an amazing service.❗👌👌👌💫

I've been going to happy tax for over 10 years and I've never had an issue, this was so horrible I must write a review. There's an Asian lady at the front desk who should avoid working in any customer service environment. I went in to get help with some forms sent by the CRA, upon asking (Helen) that's the name she gave, couple questions to assess what's needed, she just looked at the form, told me I need to fill this in and that's it, she was rushing me off instead of listening to my questions and understand where I'm coming from, while asking her a question, the phone rang and instead of asking me to hold one second she picked up the phone in the middle of my conversation and attended to this customer on the phone while ignoring me, I'm standing there waiting and just shaking my head(pondering if i should walk out, because I needed the information I waited) , then she came back to talk to me after she's done with the call, while asking her another question she picks up her cellphone and starts having a conversation with someone else in the middle of my conversation, I was so offended both times with her manners and behavior towards me, I had to say something, I let her know how she treated me wasn't nice and then she turned it on me, saying I'm not nice because I called out her behavior, I mentioned both incidents where she answered the phone in the middle of me talking to her and her excuse was, this is a business and the person on the phone is a customer and the second call was personal, Helen decided from the moment I walked in, I wasn't a beneficial customer and I firmly believe race played a part in her behavior, instead of apologizing for her treatment towards me Helen started raising her voice at me and ask do you want my help or not because I'm trying to help you and I am one person, I said yes I need a few information but I had to let you know the way you're treating me is rude and you don't treat customers like that, I also work in customer service and this wouldn't be tolerated, she ignored me, put her head down in her phone and refused to assist me, I just walked out. I wouldn't say to avoid happy tax as a whole but definitely avoid Helen.

My SENIOR Aunt drove 3 hours to come get her taxes done here again because she was familiar with this firm. She has been a client for a number of years and waited hours for the owner Andrew. Because her return encompassed adjustments for the previous years taxes Andrew threw her documents at her and told her to get out and never come back. How DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE & MEAN. If I could give negative stars I would. My poor Aunt was in tears when she told me about her experience. SHAME on this behavior from a person who is supposed to be a professional in the industry. Maybe he should look retirement if this is how he intends on treating people.

I ususally do not write review, but this was such a bad experience that i feel the need to inform others. I went there for my tax return. The younger chinese lady is very rude, did not feel the need to explain anything before proceeding, not evem to listen attentively. They have the attitude of taking the money however possible. The client service is the worst possible. I will not recommend anyone to go tthere even if they say were giving cheaper deal.
