I engaged the services of Anya via a legal aid certificate during a period of financial hardship. Regrettably, my experience with her legal representation proved to be suboptimal on several fronts. The overall management of my case, from the administrative aspects to communication, left much to be desired. Notably, the duration of my legal proceedings extended for a seemingly excessive three years.

It struck me as peculiar that only after my legal aid certificate had expired, and the government funding was no longer accessible, that both parties swiftly arrived at a settlement agreement. This sequence of events raises questions about the efficiency and integrity of the family court system in Canada.

My impression is that, in some cases, the legal profession and the system itself may be the primary beneficiaries, rather than the clients seeking justice. It is my hope that my feedback can contribute to improvements within the family court system, ensuring that individuals receive fair and efficient legal representation, regardless of their financial circumstances.
