They are always happy to take time to discuss questions as and when they arise. Denise has set up my business accounting and is always ready to help. No question or request is too big or small and they really know their stuff. As I was starting out on my own, they were a very welcome support resource which alleviated a few of many things that I had to overcome! Fused Accounting has fair prices for their services and did a decent job looking after my book keeping needs for approximately 2 years. When I initially hired Fused (previously know as Business in a Box) I wanted to work with someone local in Parkland, and I assumed Denise who is located in Stony Plain would be looking after me. However, I found out afterwards that Kim was looking after my account. Initially I wasn’t happy about this, as I wanted to work with someone local so I could easily meet with them in person if necessary and Kim was based in Calgary. It turns out that Kim was fantastic and I really enjoyed working with her so I was able to overcome that hurdle quickly. However, after Kim left Fused I began to have concerns. I wasn’t informed when Kim left Fused, and I only found out weeks later when I received security alerts when new people began accessing my files and contacting me. The biggest concern I had with Fused was the lack of communication. I prefer open lines of communication so problems can be addressed quickly and efficiently. I was never kept up to date about changes within their organization or provided with introductions and updates regarding when new staff were put on my account. I also had trouble contacting anyone after Kim left and found it difficult to address minor concerns and questions. Having to book a calendar date many days in advance to have a simple phone conversation with my book keeper simply does not work for me. Being billed for phone calls didn’t sit well with me either (especially when I was billed by the minute and their head set didn’t work properly on the phone call so nothing was accomplished). Denise did remove this charge “as a courtesy” after I requested she remove it. If they enjoy working with you, and keep their lines of communication open, then you will likely get good service here. I wish them all the best, and I appreciate all the work they did for me for the past couple years.
