During the consultation phase, Ms. Foote notified me that I could qualify for Legal Aid in which she would accept. I hadn't started the process but I did receive a legal aid certificate which she then denied claiming that my case was "too complicated" and that her firm didn't have enough resources to take on my case with a certificate. She issued a notice of change of representation immediately and billed me for it without even consulting with me. Believing I would get more help in a dire situation as my ex wife had been keeping my kids from me for months, I decided to continue to retain her privately. In 4 months and nearly $10,000, I had no communication with Ms. Foote, only her clerk. We never got into court whatsoever as she didn't know the court process in response to a change motion and we needed to go through a Dispute Resolution Officer first. This was after being reassured that we should simply wait for the change motion initiated before the court instead of applying for an urgent motion. Following the dismissal of the court date I had been waiting for 4 months for, I found out that there was a court date an entire month earlier than the one she scheduled despite my desperate and urgent situation. Without hesitation she issued another notice of change of representation. This time I accepted. Good luck with her if your issues before court aren't straightforward, she has no care for her clients, nor does she want to put any effort into doing anything more than the bare minimum. Waste of $10 grand and 4 months of waiting for nothing. Should be disbarred. And just to be clear, I was not a troublesome client in the slightest.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received from Foote Law firm . Jessica and Melinda were very responsive and took the time to hear my concerns. Jessica believed me when no other firm in Orangeville wanted to represent me.
When the ocl investigation confirmed everything I had been advocating for, Jessica and her team fought even harder to get the best outcome for my children.

Jessica Foote was opposing counsel in my ongoing case. I submitted formal motions and evidence regarding what I believed to be misconduct and bias in the proceedings. Less than an hour after she was served, she abruptly withdrew. I received no notice of change, no successor named, and no further communication. I leave it to others to decide what that says.
