After a terrible experience with these guys putting on wrong dates on our closing documents and costing us much more money from interest rates, I decided to look up their reviews.

And not to my surprise it seems as though everyone else had the same issues. I will never use FCT as our closing company again and will steer anyone else I know from this headache.

Seeing as 1 star is as low as I can go, I'll start there.

FCT is hands down the least organised company I have ever dealt with.

They were in charge of arranging a lawyer to complete the deal for my mortgage renewal. They told me 3 different dates for appointments, none of which materialized. I even got my shift at work covered after I was told I had an appointment which never happened.

I ended up taking the situation into my own hands and found out that when you tell them how to do their job, things work out a lot better.

Their lack of organization cost me over $2000 in interest due to delays and I'm certain I'll never see any of that back.

The first question I'll ask upon renewing my mortgage will be "do FCT have anything to do with this deal?". If so, I'll go elsewhere.

I will add, once the appointment happened, the mobile agent assigned to our deal was very pleasant, showed up on time and did his job very well.

Horrible experience with FCT - they almost killed our deal!

Despite receiving documents 20 days prior to our closing deadline, a few days before closing we were told that they didn't have all the documents and we can't close - not exactly professional!! FCT did not have everything ready and we literally ended up closing minutes prior to our penalty increasing and only because I understand they hand delivered a cheque to discharge the existing mortgage... the most stressful mortgage transaction ever.

Due to their delay in processing our new mortgage document, we ended up paying over $4,000 in penalty to our current mortgage provider! This happened to us even when they had over 2 weeks to process our document. Worst experience ever! Don’t forget to ask your new mortgage provider if they use FCT.

Horrible experience with FCT, especially for a kind and trustworthy senior. Just asked a couple of questions on the phone then judged as Fraud, so ridiculous!
