Update: Active Complaints and Ongoing Misconduct

Active complaints are underway with CPA Ontario (Complaint #202508-1858, Sam Faris / Faris CPA) and the Law Society of Ontario (multiple complaints against TaxPage and its principals). Regulators and insurers are now fully engaged.

The LSO complaints against Baer, Rotfliesh and Tufman have been marked active due to the severity of the complaints.

Instead of addressing the issues, Faris CPA has engaged in public retaliation — publishing my personal details (DOB, address, land title) online and making false accusations of “extortion” and “blackmail.” This is a breach of confidentiality, defamation per se, and retaliation against a complainant.

To make matters worse, Faris CPA has now resorted to fabricated 5-star reviews. The most recent, posted under the name T.C.E, is not genuine. The narrative is generic marketing copy, and the “client” story is fictitious. Faris himself (via the verified “Faris CPA” account) has replied beneath it, cementing it as part of his official firm communications. This is fraud, constitutes false advertising and misrepresentation to the public, a breach of CPA Ontario’s standards of conduct.

Meanwhile, Knights LLP in the UK, acting for Faris, has republished these defamatory materials in a legal letter. The matter is now before the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), whose remit includes enforcing disclosure of professional indemnity insurers.

Regulatory complaints and investigations are active. Deleting prior defamatory replies and replacing them with fake 5-star PR content is a tacit admission that the originals were indefensible.

➡️ This behaviour has been recorded and will be added to the ongoing complaints before CPA Ontario and the Law Society of Ontario.

Extreme caution is advised. Serious disciplinary sanctions are now inevitable.
