I appreciated this approach to an amicable separation/divorce. Where you sit down and discuss the hard questions but with a knowledgeable third party to guide you through the process. I highly recommend Darien and her team if you want to keep things civil and as painless as possible. Darien was very kind and understanding and was always available if you had questions or concerns. I’d say that Fairway is the fair way to go.

My experience: Not recommended! Lengthy, slow, prolonged process. Obvious, mathematical errors in the final property division calculations, a statement which had to be redone by my lawyer because the appendix was unclear and ambiguous and could be challenged later in court. There were no less than 6 errors in the first property statement I got from Fairway As well, Fairway RD sent an unreviewed separation agreement draft directly to opposing legal council, without giving me an opportunity to see it. There was stuff in the legal draft that was not mediated or negotiated and now we get to fight it out between the lawyers. Wasted $10K on Fairway, but at least we're dealing with lawyers now, who have some "intellectual horsepower" and can get our divorce done. Fairway leads down a winding, expensive road to nowhere.
My advice: Do most of the financial work yourself (you would be doing it anyways under Fairway's model) and get a good lawyer to finish it off and put a bow on it.

April 28, 2021 Update re: Fairway response.
Ask me if I'm surprised that you can't find me in your database, lol! I guarantee you I'm the only client you ever had in Red Deer with the name containing "Andreas Z", and yet you have no record of me? This is a small example of my whole experience with Fairway - sloppy work outputs, misguided and lost, like my client file with you. Just be better. I should have gotten a completed separation agreement with all items negotiated, not the half-done Fairway draft, for the $10k I paid.
I used to work in a public, professional service practice. If I would have done a job like Fairway did for me, I would have been summarily fired, but it looks like the consultant you used to have in Red Deer no longer works for you, from what I can tell online.
