I want to share with you my case so that you will not be deceived and treated unfairly, that is, I chose to buy a house and through a realtor in Thunder Bay (Royal Lepage) brokered, and we chose the house and decided to buy it, do you know why I bought it because the house repair schedule that the realtor gave us was so great and we did not inspect; Oh, one more thing, I asked the realtor to introduce me to a lawyer to do the paperwork, we didn't know anything because we were immigrants, we just put all our trust in the realtor and the lawyer, you know we were deceived, specifically 1/ the old homeowner's water heater was used since 2010 but it was recorded in the house history as 2021, and after a day of receiving the key, we came and turned on the hot water and the hot water was broken, I contacted lawyer Renee Marion but she not only didn't guide us but she kept saying that because we didn't inspect it, we had to suffer, when I asked why it was recorded in the house history for us like that and I kept asking, then she said she only supported us partially instead of guiding and asking us things, no she didn't do that, she didn't protect the home buyer but she protected the person who introduced the customer to her, you know why, she asked me to provide a quote for the water heater, I also did not understand what the quote was and went to Home Depot to take a picture and send it to her, the price of the water heater was $2,050, she said we only supported $1,000 and forced us to sign a release for the realtor and the realtor's company, I was also OK, because I only thought it was related to the water heater, then I went to the company that installed the water heater and they quoted us nearly $4,000 (when I sent the picture of the water heater price, it was not a quote and she did not advise me anything) from the end the lawyer who made the documents to buy the house for us, we did not receive any advice for us and how to protect us, she just said that because we did not inspect the house first, we had to bear it ourselves, she said that was the law in Ontario, we were extremely disappointed with her way of working, you know for almost a month we had no hot water to use, our family and my children were extremely stressed, and there are many things I cannot say here. 2/ the relevant documents to meet the so-called closing day, on the afternoon of the last day they asked us to join, we could not prepare, do you see their good expertise and is this way of working right, we want to share so that you do not encounter the same situation as our family, the lawyer received our fee but never defended our family even a word and then she said we were done and closed our file, the lesson learned is that the strong always bully the weak and they always stand on the side of those who bring them benefits, and you should not put your trust in anyone even if it is someone in the name of a lawyer, they inherently want benefits and want to take money from you to finish the job, it is sad for human personality and morality.
