I was slapped TWICE in my vehicle on one occasion by a dishonest Calgary police officer who LIED to Calgary Police Standards by claiming he gave me a "tap" twice. I was simply getting a traffic ticket for going the wrong way down a one-way street. I couldn't get past Engel's receptionist to hire the firm. I still have massive PTSD from Calgary Police Services' brutality and I am not a criminal.

I paid $600 for a consultation that they refused to do in person and didn’t answer any of my questions. Tom Engel asked all questions and wanted paperwork. He stated he would finish the consultation after receiving the information he requested. We spoke for 20 minutes over the phone, that is it! I provide the information he wanted and all I received was an email requesting retainer if I want any information. I tried many times through email and phone calls to get through to this law firm. I had to block my phone number in order to reach reach anyone. I would advise everyone on here not to use this law firm. Horrible Law Firm. Shame on all of you in this law firm. Thieves is all they are.

2 officers charged me with assault. As an innocent citizen, i got it dropped. I called this law firm looking to pursue a law suit against the officers. I spoke to the front receptionist gave her my info and asked her to please get back to me. She asked me what compensation am i looking for I've dealt with ALOT of firms and I've never got asked that question by a receptionist. It's been more than 2 weeks and I still haven't heard from this garbage firm. To the front receptionist, Wendy's is hiring biatch.

I would say Tom Engel and his legal team and assistants are the some of the best if not THEE best legal representation in the entire country. On a national platform this law firm is making a difference in peoples lives and restored my faith in the justice system. Very powerful and respected legal presence in the courtroom . Impressed with the compassion and empathy for every day people needing defense in serious issues that would otherwise perhaps wreck lives . thanks tom engel and team for being a light in all this darkness.

I was represented by Kate Engel. Of all the offices I dealt with she was the only one who did a thorough job and actually cared. She won my case for me and was attentive to my needs. Other lawyers I dealt with absolutely gave me a run around and were not decent to deal with. I'm not saying she is perfect, I bet this office could get tired of any excessive communication like the rest of them, but she was able to make me feel like I was a human being not a terrible fool. I've dealt with really really terrible lawyers, this office is not one of those lawyers.

Tom Engel pressured myself into giving a statement to RCMP while being an accused ( proven my innocence in courts ) as a result of the crown cover up of sheriff Behiels who sexually assaulted me . If I did not call other criminal defence lawyers for a second opinion , Engel would have destroyed my life , my case . It is absolutely contraindicated to give statements to police while being accused of a crime . Engel is not totally incompetent not to know this. In my opinion , he does his best to take info from his clients to please the crown by selling his clients behind the table . The best case scenario , he will reach a two penny settlement in the crown favour . I searched his cases and he did not win any big case in courts . Good try Tom to destroy my life .
