It's a coin flip if you'll get help or not. When you get a real lawyer it's extremely helpful. When you get a student it's basically like doing a google search. The worst part is the receptionist who comes across as very passive aggressive imho. If you call for an appointment there's almost never an answer. The voice message is quite hostile, reminding the caller to leave only ONE message for an appointment. The problem is they won't call you back. If they do it can take weeks so who knows if they even got the message or not. It's just a lousy experience all around but it may be your only hope for free legal help.

I cant say for everybody but i only went here on a Thursday for their free legal advice. Excellent staff that helped me with filling up forms for the lawyer and the lawyer himself was amazing and really helpful.

It takes a while to be able to see one of the volunteers, but don't give up. They are very good at what they do. I spoke with the student lawyer named Alex who is kind and gracious and very understanding with the difficult situation I'm in. The principal lawyer looked over all of the work Alex had done. I feel confident and moving forward in the courts and I'm glad to know that if I have any questions or concerns that I can call or email and be able to speak with someone. Front desk staff was very warm and welcoming and most importantly they were non-judgmental.

These people are very good. My lawyer was wonderful, friendly & professional. She answered my questions clearly & fully. She knew the answers to all my questions. She had great suggestions that I didn't even think of. She helped me out a lot. I left the conversation with no questions & she told me a couple of things to do n said to call back if I had anything else come up.

I've been in a RTA battle with my exlandlord in Calgary since September/23. The amount of assistance I received from Erin Castro, who is a student working under licensed lawyers, has been immensely positive.

I would definitely recommend ECLC to those who are looking for some legal help.

I highly recommend Anna. I was fed up with lawyers smiling and trying to pull the wool over my eyes to make me pay as much as possible. One visit to Anna allowed me to find out everything about my visa and I received the document I needed. I recommend it if you are looking for professional advice!

I find myself with an interesting issue. I am getting ready to contact them again. Basically, if you are going to this extent. Do it right and bf prepared. This fourcd is invaluable.

1st review: I cannot thank your staff and resulting assistance enough.
I appreciate everything you have done. Everyone's help in their own way was awesome

***Please note: I was prepared for Court, in advanced by the appropriate lawyer, thru the lawyer referral service and eclc's referral. The appointments, which were conducted over the phone helped so much. Remember those too who give of their free time,!!!!
