We had a will created here for my grandmother and to get a POA document for myself. First of all, the POA document had conflicting verbiage and we found out was not applicable. The whole process was awful, when I spoke to someone over the phone I couldn't help but sense they were trying to belittle me and be extremely rude and unhelpful. It was such a negative experience that we decided to take our business elsewhere. Would NOT recommend.

You are better off handling things on your own and blundering through them than hiring Mr. Erler.
1- He does not listen to his clients wishes. He will try and pressure and push you into making decisions which are not in your best interest.
2- He will not look at other options as far as conflict resolution.
3- He will ignore the rules for personal information by not requiring a signed copy of release of information and giving your information TO HIS WIFE, to whom he refers you to to "Arrange your finances"
4- He will take your money and do with it what he feels is best instead of what you ask him to.
This lawyer does not work for his client he works for himself, and for making as much money as possible in as little time as possible. As for his partners Koheli is Retired, Durocher also retired.
To give you a bit of background on what happened. Mr Earler was hired to resolve a foreclosure. He constantly pressured me into decisions I was not comfortable with and in the end gave $1000 of my money to the management company and took 3 months to get it back. When it never should have gone there in the first place.
I would not recommend his services to anyone, unless you are looking for a dirty lawyer.

I got my degree notarized by Eugene Erler and I had to go back 4 times due to mistakes that were repeatedly made. First, the date my degree was granted was written wrong on the cover letter, and when I returned to get it fixed he was "out for coffee with a friend." Upon returning again at the time I was told, I was informed that he had returned but then left the office again without signing the letter for me to pick up. When I returned the fourth time, the date my document was notarized was wrong and I had to wait for that to be fixed. All of this without a single apology. The entire process was time consuming and inefficient - I would not recommend.

Pierre Asselin was referred to me. I assigned an account with him and he requested a retainer which we paid. So far so good. Over the subsequent 3 months requests for updates were ignored. I had no idea what was happening on the file. I even sent an email to a managing partner to which I received no response. I sent a cease and desist letter and now have to transfer the file to other counsel. I will be filing a complaint with the Alberta Law society.

I called the firm to ask about notarizing a document for travel. The guy I spoke to was extremely rude. He did not allow me to finish my question, instead choosing to cut me off while belittling my intelligence. Needless to say, I opted to seek help elsewhere.
I would not recommend this firm to anyone.
