He didn’t just help me with the real estate transaction I hired him for; he went above and beyond to assist me with an existing issue that could have been avoided if I had used his services earlier.

We recently completed a mortgage renewal process using this firm and wouldn't recommend using them UNLESS you want:

1. To be substantially overcharged from the quote your mortgage broker advised you it would cost.
2. To be spoken to in a condescending manner.
3. To have to attend their office three times instead of one to sign mortgage documents.
4. To be advised that any errors or omissions are not their fault.

Avoid. To sum up my experience, they were assigned to collect money on behalf of another company. They acted friendly and claimed to be acting in my interests, then got upset when I attempted to accomplish things on my own or hire a lawyer who would actually be representing my interests. I don't even want to think about what would've happened if I trusted them.
Perhaps they are better when they aren't working for somebody else (and billing you for it). I can't say for sure. All I know is I never want to have anything to do with them again.
