After a volatile situation, my family and I placed our trust in Rebecca and her team for my seperation. I cannot express how stressful this became. After continuously asking for monthly billing, we were not provided with it as promised. I had asked to have her help to finalize and complete a divorce which I still didn't get, and if our house proceeds could be used as there was more than enough to carry on with her services. She then refused and left me at a complete loss. Knowing the amount of head trauma I suffered I couldn't believe she would take such advantage. Upon final billing, she allowed costs to exceed $8000 more than we initially had expected. I had requested billing for 4 months and it still had been suggested that I had not exhausted my $10,000 retainer so I continued to direct them. It is beyond unreasonable to then slap another $8K without having let a client know.

Again, I felt this kind of expense should have been well communicated throughout and was NOT. Then, already dealing with a stressful situation and trying to heal, I was working to try to resolve things in a satisfactory way for both considering the additional charges, she went and slapped a lien on my home sale which nearly ruined my new purchase! I was already planning on settling through proceeds but find it odd as I initially requested this and was denied. I still have not had the energy to finalize my report to the law society but will certainly be doing this. This was beyond disgraceful service.

Further to this, they had emailed an email address after being told not to use that any more. They sound great in the outset, but I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend her firm!!! BEWARE

From the initial consultation regarding a Family law matter that I was charged for, I felt confused and uninformed. The only thing about the case I was sure of was that I was to pay the retainer.
I was then charged for simple follow up questions and could see the main focus for this firm was money and not my case. They asked me for documents I could not provide from 7+ years ago and I explained I could not produce them. At this point I explained it may not be a good fit and wanted to discontinue their services. They then said I was not cooperating and could no longer represent me. Furthermore then charged me a fee to email me telling me they won’t represent me and to come pick up my documents. I can see with other reviews this seems to be a trend and write this with no prejudice but simply an account of my personal experience.
