these people suck. we had jamie herle, buyers lawyer was jayme mitchell. They dont call you back, you have to chase them around and stay on their ass or they dont do their job. i swear they would drag it out for months if they could. They also dont seem to lime to work much, you end up doing most of the work yourself. They dont complete documents when they should. They will tell you you are done, then phone you yhe day of closing and tell you your.missing a document, even thou you asked them 30 times if they were sure you didnt need anything else. Stuff that could be done on the phone or another time is all of a sudden urgent you need to come in to the office, even if you live outta town, for nothing. They do not respect you or your wishes, dont explain things well at all, make people run around all over town looking for things or doimg thinhs that are not necessary, or costs more in gas instead of doing a few things at once. They think they know better, and that your a client and you cany possibly know more than them or a way to save some money. They dont phone or text, dont follow thru with what they say. Your better off doing it yourself almost, it sucks that you need them just for the legal aspect, vause its not worth the pay they take. And they take their pay before they give you your money. Which isnt right, cause that gives them the freedom to charge whatever they want, and you just get what u get. Even if they quit or you fire them, they still will take their cut for you doing their job for them. Worst lawyers ever. Not even sure if they are real lawyers...lol....dont waste your money here. They make this proceas very stressful and makes you think twice about buying or selling cause of all the bs they put you thru

Was recommended by my realtor to Berkeley Buchko and had an awful experience. Very unprofessional and it truly seemed like he was just tossed into the role and not an actual lawyer. He had reached out by email on the day of my move asking for documents which I had asked days before to confirm if everything was sent in. It made my day extremely stressful when I was doing a big move from AB to SK that day. He then followed up after weeks of being in the house and asking for more documents.

We also overpaid for our house deposit and he asked me “how much are you expecting back”. I couldn’t believe that was a response I received multiple times when there is no “expecting” it is simply just finding out how much we put as a deposit vs what our down payment was.

He also told me he would send the money back before we moved in and failed to do so.

I’ve truly never felt more uncomfortable and weary of an actual lawyer and I truly wouldn’t be surprised if he did not have a law degree.

On the advice of Family Law Support Centre, I hired Gregory (Greg) Kuse for my divorce. He was absolutely unethical and expensive and horrible to deal with! The reason for the divorce was that my husband had subjected me to domestic assault. Greg was mad at me for leaving the house! He wanted me to go back to my husband! It was all a big conflict of interest because my husband's lawyer was his defense lawyer, so if I went back to my husband then the firm would probably win that case. Greg felt this was not a conflict of interest because they were two different cases (they were obviously related, though!). When my husband refused to get the marriage certificate out of the safe for the lawyer, and eHealth was taking a long time, Greg was trying to pressure me into talking to my husband who was under a no contact order! He wound up getting me to let my husband send him an email message that he sent on to me... and it was awful. He also charged a lot - around $6,000 and all he did was get me to fill out the property form, have me sign a piece of paper, and then focus his time on trying to get me to go back to my husband! At the time, I was not that upset about the cost because he said that he was going to get my husband to pay for my legal fees since he was the reason (him assaulting me) that we were getting divorced. After I left his firm, they refused to release the file until I paid an additional amount of money! The new firm I went to said that having one spouse pay the legal fees of another spouse because they were the cause of the divorce is not a thing. If I could give negative stars I would! Also, absolutely zero compassion for victims of domestic assault!

At least the other lawyer at their firm was not great either, and I won the domestic assault trial. (Well, really Saskatoon Police Service did and I was just subpoenaed as a witness... but yeah!) I mean, he did it, and definitely should have been found guilty, but it was evident that the defense lawyer sucked too!

Pretty sure Greg has to be paying Family Law Support Centre for them to be recommending him! He should be disbarred! He should count himself lucky that I am tired of dealing with systems... because I was going to make a formal complaint to the Law Society of Saskatchewan regarding him.

We recently used the services of Randy Katzman, who assisted us with both the sale of our home and purchase of a new one. He was clear up front about what to expect and returned all my calls to answer any questions I had along the way. In the end there were no surprises and we appreciated his approach with us. Highly recommended!

Had power of attorney paperwork completed here. Reception was nice and polite. They quoted the price before we came in, and there were no surprise charges. The lawyer spent the time explaining the power of attorney so that all parties were fully aware of the implications. Would use this law firm again, I was satisfied with this service.

I had the opportunity to work with Curtis Kendall. He was very kind and understanding to my situation. He was thorough and took the time to ensure that all my requests had been met. When I left their office, I knew I didn't have to worry about things. If you are ever in need of a lawyer with his expertise, know that you will be taken care of.
