Shawn Hennessy:

NOT recommended!

This person simply does not care. He consistently called me by the WRONG NAME!! What an insult. Which means he wasn’t prepared. He never knew anything about the details of my file. We also accomplished ZERO on my file we made no movement or progress whatsoever. When you come to a lawyer, vulnerable and desperate in need of help, he gladly took my money but didn’t help. I felt used and disrespected by Mr. Hennessy

DO NOT HIRE SHAWN HENNESSY he is completely incompetent and not efficient a terrible communicator and in my mind it just seemed like he was trying to wing it and put no effort into it whatsoever.

What an absolute horrible experience.

I would highly recommend Rose Cassis, as as she is an exceptional collaborative divorce lawyer. Rose is highly skilled in difficult negotiations, thorough with details, and attentive to her client's needs. Rose helped accomplish the best outcome for my family and I am very glad that I hired her.

I will never use this firm again nor will I recommend them to anyone. I had to do most of the communications with the bank myself to have this transaction completed. I would get calls from the lawyer before he worked through the reason for the call so I had to sit on the phone as he tried to vocalize the questions/concerns. I had to actually ask for solution based answers as most of the conversations went absolutely nowhere. Once the deadline had arrived to finalize the transaction I was told they could not complete the transaction due to a banking issue but rather than trying to resolve it I was told this was not their fault and it was ours for creating delays. I then told him I would call the bank myself and get this cleared up as we needed to finalize the deal that day or we would be charged 12% interest on the balance owing to which he replied " you will just get the lines crossed as you don't speak to who I speak with at the bank ". I made one 2 minute phone call and got it sorted. I was then called back by the lawyer and told even though it was handled and the funds could be released there was no guarantee they could get it to the other lawyers in time and that they would now have to use an express courier and that would cost a lot of money. At this point I was fed up with the lack of urgency and customer service so I personally drove to them to pick up the check and hand deliver it to the other lawyer myself. This was just my experience. Take it for what its worth.

There will come a day in most everyone's life when you will be incredibly thankfully for the relationship you have with your lawyer. I've had that day more than once in the recent number of months. Without Rose Cassis and then Sean Hennessy, the struggles I have endured would have been ten fold. This is no sales pitch, having the peace of mind knowing that no matter what I had the right people in my corner was priceless. This confidence is what I have received from this firm recently, and over the last decade plus that I have worked directly with Rose. Anyone who doesn't think thier lawyer is a life saver ... has the wrong lawyer.

I asked Mr Hennessy to help me out in my family matter, despite the fact that in my book he overcharging me, I thought he will be afficiant and experience, he walk to the courtroom un-prepared to the point that he couldn't ask questions and at some point he stalled get lost in his own note, clearly had no clue what to do nor what to ask and cross examin
At one point the judge gave hi five minute break to gather his thought (that's how bad it was) the judge was aggravated, all he cared about is his bill to be paid.
If I cross examin and represented myself I will achieve better result.
He aggravated the judge to the point the judge made the following remark (I would expect from an experienced lawyer to be better prepared and know better)
He was an excellent lawyer to my opponent, strongly advise not to hire him for family matter he is not the man for the job, my ex had legal aid and Mr Hennessy lost the case that's how bad he is.
Expensive and unprepared no care about his client.

If I hadn't been referred to Rose by a family friend I would have searched properly. She dragged out every part of the process and when I told her I couldn't afford her anymore and I had to settle she made me sign a caveat that this was a settlement she would never recommend in order to cover herself and my husband got everything. I will never recover financially.
