Our family went through a traumatic experience not long ago and the only advice/help given was basically to take it a day at a time and that when explaining it to my children to use words they can understand. There were no tools offered or suggested to help and they had to be the least helpful of all 'helpful' outlets. For anyone looking to explain death to children there are books out there that explain life cycles or Moana when the grandmother passed away is also super helpful when trying to explain it so younger children can comprehend. These are a few things that I had to find on my own with no help from this service.
