Had such a bad experience here. It was my first time going to get my license renewed. There was a long wait time, which I expected, but the customer service was exceptionally horrible. I approached the woman at the sit down desk and told her what I was there for, I expected her to tell me the process and cost. Instead, she made me feel incompetent and stupid by asking me “where my license was,” rushed me through the payment and process and spoke to me in a way that made me feel incredibly demeaned, rolling her eyes and using a tone that made me uncomfortable. I had smiled and tried to be as accommodating and friendly as I could through the whole interaction.

She took my picture and condescendingly informed me to tuck all my hair behind my ears and push all of it behind my shoulders, she then flashed an awful photo of me to the full registry and myself and said “I’m not trying to be mean but that’s what it looks like.”

I wasn’t even aware I was having my picture taken and had no time to prepare. I left the registry crying, feeling awful about myself. I sat in my car to calm down, she walked out and saw me - then stood with her back to me and smoked.

I waited another 30 minutes in line to ask them to cancel my license, they didn’t explain why but said no. They offered a re-capture at a cost of $28, but I’ve decided to go somewhere else.

I understand this job must be difficult and pictures aren’t going to be perfect, but sensitivity in customer service roles is SO important. You never know what someone is going through and if they need kindness and patience that day. I read another review about a girl who left crying because of this woman, I truly hope she sees the effect she is having on people and gains some empathy.

Do NOT take your road test here. Total rinse and a scam. Failed my road test twice in succession (with insanely bad scores) as a very competent driver and got nitpicked for things that aren't even real rules. Went to crowfoot same week to try a different road test, passed first try easily. With a good score.

Service at counter is fine but don't trust the road tests here. Very clearly just designed to rinse your wallet out over and over.

Needs adjustment in their customer service. Walked in there with a question about a service provided to me a few days earlier. I was very polite and respectful. In return I've got rude service and made to feel stupid about my question.

Completely useless registration office doesn't matter if you bring in every piece of paper that you need they will find a reason to not help you wether you need another person or their system is down. Just drive to calgary it will actually be faster.

Horrible experience with this registry office! Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to interact with the lady that is at the sit down desk at the registry. I have had her a couple of times and have dread going in there every time because of her. Today, was the worst as I seemed to be the biggest inconvenience in her day. She treated me with zero respect. She made me feel as I though I had no business doing a simple transaction with her. I left the registry crying because of how disrespected I was in my 5 minute visit. Super unprofessional. Judging by the multiple complaints I’m assuming are about her, this is an ongoing issue and I hope she decides to treat people better. I will never be returning and steering everyone away from this registry office.

It's a very long, slow and tedious process to change/update ANYTHING for your elderly parents. It took two visits to the registry office to accomplish it, that was because I did not have everything needed to ensure the safety and privacy of my parents. It was explained to me very clearly why and what I needed to produce. On my return visit I dealt with Linda who was very well versed with my needs. Linda was friendly, very professional, efficient and sympathetic about the tedious process. I believe many of the poor reviews are a result of the clients not having what they need to process whatever it is that they are trying to do. None of these women who work there make the rules or set the guidelines, but they do have to follow them. They are very frustrating at times, but are put in place to protect all of us.

It is unfortunate that the employees here are not Interested in making their clients feel at ease, or assisting them in any way. In our experience, the employee we had the pleasure of dealing with was very negative and condescending. They have the expertise in the matters they deal with, and should be much more understanding and helpful. It certainly was not a pleasant experiods at all.
