Jeff takes his time to really go through everything with his clients. He takes an educational approach assuring that everyone is on the same page. Unfortunately I had to deal with the "Fitzpatrick" and it was the most abysmal service I've seen in the legal profession. Even my agent was shocked with my experience & apologized for the recommendation.

Not sure who would use Jeff Fitzpatrick more than once. Probably the single more incompetent lawyers I've ever met. Late on absolutely everything. Basically only dealt with his secretary. Overcharged. I would rather have my high school kid handle real estate legal issue than this guy!!

We used Mr Fitzpatrick for the closing of our home and it has been nothing but a headache start to finish.

My wife was at home while I had been away on vacation for 2 weeks arriving home with a week before closing. I had informed Mr Fitzpatrick 2-3 weeks prior to have E sign documents available incase of possible covid exposure and isolation upon my return to which I was assured it would be.

I had made this point several times before finally arriving home and the reaction I received was almost shell shock as if I had never informed them at all. the day before closing a zoom meeting had been made in such an event. I was then sent the documents and told to print them to sign and deliver within the hour..while I was at home in isolation. Because I could not oblige I was then told to scan said documents and send to him within the hour..I do not own a scanner. This is why I had requested E sign documents. As a result, I had to take pictures of all the documents as best as possible and send via email.

The next day after this process had concluded and the closing was supposed to take place my wife and I had heard nothing from Mr Fitzpatrick the entire day up until 6pm where I had to contact our real estate agent to confirm the house did actually close (at 3:30pm) and that we should have been informed at that time.

The avoidable stress and seemingly blatant incompetence was a horrible experience as a first time home buyer. I would not use or recommend Mr Fitzpatrick's services as a result.

Ask up front how much they will charge for even just a consult. We discussed a retainer. But I ended up not needing a lawyer so my file was closed. Months later and after no discussion they sent me a bill that, due to extenuating circumstances as I single mom, I can't afford.

I have used this firm for every real estate transaction I have done (4 times in the past 8 years are so). They are amazing to deal with. No worries I know it will get done. I don't live in Orangeville anymore but I still use them regardless!
