Wait almost 3 weeks, no call from law office. I called Tuesday left message, no return call. Called on Wednesday, spoke to a person named Jennifer. She spoke to me with an attitude. Told me that my father was the only one that could be present to adjust his will. I find this unacceptable, because he has decreased hearing and needs someone to accompany him.

We needed an ILA to facilitate co-signing for our daughter to purchase her first house. Carolyn Tonin was so fast to respond to us, and despite some confusion on another law firms part we were able to get this completed super fast. We highly recommend Carolyn and Chin and Orr! Top level service.

My husband has been dealing with this office re: estate of a deceased relative as the executor for two years now. They consistently fail to return messages through phone and email, we receive updates from them less than once per quarter, it took them an entire calendar year to file for probate (the very first step of dealing with such a thing) and now they scheduled an appointment for him to sign paperwork on a Saturday and the lawyer failed to show up to the appointment! My husband drove 2 hours from Kitchener to Innisfil specifically for this appointment and the LAWYER failed to show up!

Grossly unprofessional behaviour on a consistent basis. I'm not sure if they're just too busy to actually do what they need to do, don't have enough staff to keep their workload moving at a manageable pace or they just don't care about their clients.

In short, find someone else to handle your legal needs!

Update: It is now two years later and we are still struggling with this office. They still fail to correspond or update us. Going on four years now...

I sent them an email, and also left a voice message about setting up an appointment for them to handle the closing of our house. Never heard back from them, so we went elsewhere. I guess they must be really busy to not even return a phone call or answer an email.

I emailed Chin and Orr on Jan 8th to arrange a meeting. My wife and I were looking to get some wills.
No one from the firm replied.

I would like to report, that after I made this post, I was contacted by Chin and Orr. I was told that they found my email in their spam box. Chin and Orr apologized for the way this worked out.
