Unfortunately, Ontario Judges do not recognize "bad faith" when Bazar McBean purposely withholds information and misleads clients from the beginning. So the best practice is to avoid this accounting firm.
If this firm has already trapped you, try to get an expert report for trial and try your case in the US courts, if available. Contract Restatement 2 has a more favourable definition of good faith for vulnerable clients.

Abusive and humiliating!
It’s a shocking and indelible experience with this accounting firm and David S. Bazar.
- Being charged 9-10 times more than the original offered price
- All tax filing documents were withheld
- Being threatened and told to keep silent
- The firm didn’t file the tax returns or refund the previous payment.
- Being sued in Ontario court.
I hope no one has to suffer the same.

I would advise against using this service, as my experience bordered on abusive. The costs are not disclosed upfront, leading to a surprisingly large bill at the last minute—right around the tax deadline. Furthermore, the provider refuses to release any documents until full payment is made. Communication is generally poor, and there is a pervasive patronizing attitude, making you feel as though you're requesting a favor when you're simply seeking basic communication and courtesy. It appears that Mr. Bazar is more focused on making a profit than genuinely assisting with tax matters. It was a painful stressful experience. Edit: I expressed my concerns about the fees and you dismissed them knowing that you had all leverage as we were hitting the deadline. You take advantage of people vulnerability when dealing with international taxes situations.
