We’ve used Craig Halpenny for our wills, power of attorney, and for home sale and purchase. He was absolutely excellent to deal with for everything. Recently I went to him for a couple small issues. Craig was attentive and reassuring; I felt like my concerns and needs were going to be taken care of. However he did not complete a task in early October as anticipated and he never responded to my email or voice messages asking for an updated. If he told me he was unable to follow through I could have found another lawyer to do it. Instead I found myself in an awkward situation. After waiting two months without an update it seems the other task we spoke about likely won’t be completed either. I’m baffled and disappointed.

Sarah Stewart helped me through a very difficult time in my life. She was kind, professional, very knowledgeable , and by far the best lawyer I have ever dealt with. She was quick to respond and I could tell genuinely cares for her clients. All of the office staff I dealt with were wonderful. I would highly recommend using her for your legal needs. Scott and the team at Barker Willson operated at all times in a professional, serious, and courteous manner.
All questions were answered in detail.
They put my interests first, and went above and beyond what was required of them on every front.
Despite documents being very late on my side they were more than understanding, and did everything to get a last minute sale closed on time.

I have been dealing with Scott Hughes and more so, his assistant Sarah Gorman. We used this firm upon recomendation for a real estate transaction Sept. 6th, 2019. It is now Nov. 1, 2019, and I am still chasing them concerning a $350.00 adjustment which is owed to us by the vendor. I brought the matter to their attention the end of September, and it has been up to me to continually follow up, and request updates. It still has not been settled, and I keep receiving happy face emoji's and excuses. Not pleased with their professionalism, their attention to detail, or their services. I would not reccomend this firm to anyone.

My elderly, disabled uncle and his brother met with Mike Reid on June 5th to prepare a will and POAs. They were told that the documents were being drawn up per the discussion and my uncle would be contacted about next steps. Six weeks later, my uncle's situations has worsened and we've been informed by Mike Reid that he has no record of the meeting and doesn't recall meeting with them. Be sure to follow up closely and in a timely manner with your legal matters!

No response from Craig halfpenny documents were to be drawn up in one week, 3 weeks later he doesn't return our call, total waste of our time! And judging by this reviews I'm not the only one
