My experience with Terry was rather unprofessional. I had to remind him on several documents that he provided was incorrect. He is smooth when it comes to making excuses and sending update document instead of apologizing or recognizing his errors. I would expect some professionalism from a lawyer when paying thousand of dollars on a property completion transaction which he failed me on. Why do I have to proof read all the paperwork (and identifying errors after errors) when I am paying lawyer fee that was supposed to have proper document taken care off?

Another questionable issue was with the hidden fees he charges last minute. For instance, there was a service I specifically inquired and his firm could not offer, which I understand and agree. But ended up he added that service item on my invoice. Once I brought it up to have that taken off on the invoice, he excused that was meant to be other service for additional work (so either he yet failed again to provide an accurate invoice on his own work, or it was an excuse for hidden fee hoping client does not read the fine prints, if you will).

In all honestly if I didn’t have 5 days only from completion, I would totally visit a different lawyer for my transaction. I only allowed Terry to take advantage on me due to time constraint.
