I have had the luxury of interacting with Amit, owner of Accounting Measures, long before he opened his business. My first close interaction with Amit, was when he and I worked directly side by side one another. The company I worked for hired him to review the bookkeeping/accounting processes in place due to years of previous incorrect training. I must detail that even then; Amit was sought out due to his incredible reputation through word of mouth. Amit offered clear, detailed, and professional guidance as he reviewed the bookkeeping/accounting work completed by me and a previous colleague. He spent months continuously assessing my work with zero judgment and worked with me showing me proper processes and explaining each item fully, ultimately training me to be the best bookkeeper I could be. I worked in a predominately male industry for 10 years, and the service I received still to this day goes unmatched. Having dealt with Amit was a lesson in frustration. He says that I was abrupt and set in my ways and it was not a good fit for him - so to leave his practice. When a woman is a professional and is not run over by men, this person takes offence to that. He was going to do my T4s, but because I wanted an answer as to why he wanted me to leave, he sends me an email at the 11th hour stating ' in lieu of an answer to that question he will not be doing my T4s. This person does not know how to deal professionally with a woman who knows what she wants and therefore articulates it. I do advise any women that are in business, think twice about taking this person on to deal with your financials. He is not above wiping his feet on you.
